I try and think about how I feel after I am done. I absolutely love that post workout high.

I will tell you that I used to feel the same way but now I wake up and can't wait to work out. I think once you get over the first inital weeks of soreness ect you have a new found energy that is very addicting. Also the Nike + gadget has worked wonders for me.

What is the Nike + gadget? I'm intrigued :-)

I make it non-negotiable. When I'm not motivated, I approach it like an appointment that I don't really feel like attending, but have to anyway. This helps me on those days when I just don't want to. And I always feel much better afterwards.

I am motivated by how exercise makes me feel afterwards and how my body begins to take shape. Plus, right now, I hate how I look naked. I need an iron for the back of my bumpy legs! :)

I don't go to a gym because a. I can't affford to; b. the colsest one is 20min from my house; c. I don't have anyone to watch my kids that often. so I had to get myself motivated to do it at home...I thought, "I can't do it when the kids are awake" and I am SOOooo not a morning person it isn't even funny. so I was stuck...I started a while back on the treadmill and stuck with it for quite a while 3X a week I put on a show that I could stand to watch and let the kids play around me...that got old around the holidays (the kids were getting bored watching me run so they got in the way a lot) so I gave up on it for a while...then I started hearing about Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred video...20 min a day...who doesn't have 20 min a day (um ME i thought) but I figured it doesn't get less time consuming than that...so I got it (It's on demand too the first 2 levels) and started...I told myself that if the kids made it too hard then I'd do it when they went to bed (not likely)... turns out they LOVE when I exersize...at first I thought that they'd get in the way (and sometimes they do) but more than anything they are interested and want to play along...that to me was motivation enough to do it every day (mind you I am only on day 10) they look forward to exersize time, and so do I...hearing them get excited makes me happy, I know that I am showing them that it is important to get physical...and I'm working towards not being the Fat Mom...that's my motivation (sorry that was so long)

Thank you all for your thoughts and feedback here! It's especially great because I'm often on b2l before I go to the gym so I love hearing the new reasons :-) Super motivating.

I can't do a gym either 1) the expense & 2) the kids. I do workout at home though. I started off easy with just the Wii Fit 20 minutes a day. That quickly turned into 30 minutes. Then I added in My Fitness Coach 15 to 30 minutes a day. It works out easier for me to do small segments of time due to the kids. Now I'm up to doing the 30 Day Shred every morning before the kids wake up and the Wii Fit (mostly aerobics) for at least 30 minutes. If time permits I try to also fit in 15 minutes of My Fitness Coach.

I found that I really like exercising. Even if I'm sore, I feel better afterwards. I look forward to doing it each day. I also look at it as "my time". For me if it is smaller time increments then it isn't that big of a deal. I can fit it in around naps. And the kids love My Fitness Coach and the Wii Fit so I can do it while they are there. They like to do it with me.

My weight watcher leader has a quote that she swears by..."you never regret going to the gym or working out, but you always regret when you don't." I have found that to be so true. Half of the battle is just getting there, popping in the dvd, etc.

In words of Jillian Michaels: You won't lose your ass unless you move your ass.

I have always battled with weight. But now im healthier!
Well, I think about the health benefits I get by exercising and i recently bought something that motivates me even more.
I bought these bike shorts from fitandsharp.com and have been using them for about 2 months.

I wear them when i work out in the gym and it really did help me lose fats at my problem areas! Apparently, they have an active ingredient that can reduce fats! To date, I have lost about 2 inches from my hips and my thighs smoothen!

I highly recommend having something to keep you motivated while exercising and these undergarments have definitely boosted my motivation to keep at it. =)
