I like to go 5 pounds at a time. Yes, it is a slow process when it's done right. So, 5 pounds gives me a few weeks and then I feel like I've accomplished so much. I've done 70 since December 08 and I'm still going!

OK I set a short term goal for the 13th of this month, I have a black tie gala to go to in DC for Williams Syndrome. I wanted to be at 245, well today the scale read 245.8! Now down 60 pounds since June of 2009, gosh I wish seems like a really slow process *sighs* but at least they numbers are going down! Now what should be my next short term weight loss goal?

Hi Annie,

I also am on Weight Watchers and I have lost 45 pounds with 100 more to go! Check out my journey and thoughts at my blog: Confessions of a Dieter

I have been lose some, gain a little, but I refuse to give up and keep hanging in there. All my other attempts at weight loss I have given up and then it took a couple of years to regroup. Blogging and Social Networking has really kept me from giving up this time. I lose great, then have a couple bad weeks, but everyone here and at the other blogs you'll read about, really keep me going!

I am so glad you found us all here!

That should read 1/2 0z and you can even go up to 1 oz per pound! Watch the inches and fat release. Be careful to not watch the scale for your only method of judging results! Plus please note your health benefits as results! The weight can be a side effect of a good nutritional plan!

Water is a very important health adjustment. Being cronically dehydrated will slow your motablism down 3-5% ( remember you burn 80% of your calories with just your bodies daily functions) So increasing your motablism is important! If you are dehydrated the body will start to store water ( water weight) when you start drinking enough you will lose that weight but will gain weight by having a better cellular hydration level. So you need to drink at minimum 1;2 oz per pound of weight and if you have to use the facilities more, that's good! So drink up love it it will have amazing health benefits. Check www.watercure.org , this guy has done some amazing work!

Hi Everyone! I just had my second baby 2 months ago, and put on 80 lbs during the pregnancy. Add that to the 40 I already needed to lose, and well, here I am! I've already lost about 30 post pregnancy, but still have between 90-100 that I want/need to lose. Writing that down is scary. I have been thin and athletic my whole life, until about 5 years ago when I got married (hello restaurants!). I lost 40 lbs after having my daughter 2 1/2 years ago, but am now at my all-time highest weight, and I definitely find it scary and overwhelming! I'm really struggling with believing I can lose this much weight, so I'm thankful for this group, where I can be inspired by all of you who have already done it!
