Like a Child
In the bible it often talks about being like a child, a concept that sometimes goes right over my head. Well this morning when I woke up it was pouring, and thought great I am so not doing anything today. As soon as the rain let up I took the dog out for his morning walk. As I turned the corner there was a little girl wearing over sized rain boots, and her white umbrella on the ground. I watched as she happily jumped into the puddle at the end of her drive. She was so excited, and she was singing as well. It just blew me away because I did not wake up with the same thought as her. Instead I was miserable, I understand now why God said we must be like children. Just thought I would share, sorta changed my perspective today. Hope everyone had a happy fourth of July.

Sometimes it's so hard to be like a child. With 3 small kids, I feel God is constantly trying to remind me to slow down, and enjoy his creations, but I still fight with that all the time, I'm always so busy doing chores and such. thanks for a nice reminder.

I had an experience kind of like that yesterday. I was at the gas station and the lady next to me was complaining about gas prices when it started to rain. She immediately let her misery turn to the rain (that we SO badly needed) and began complaining about that. She had 3 girls with her and when it started to rain they got out from underneath the covered area and started jumping and dancing and just screaming with delight. I wished that I could do that, but the grown up in me just wouldn't let me. Children always touch my heart and I can see why we need to be more like them, too.
