Welcome to the 2 new members! We were holding steady at 5 and I just noticed it bumped up to 7. Wahoo! I'm going to start a new "Introduce yourself" thread but I don't have time to actually post myself today, so you guys go right on ahead and I'll get to it later tonight :)

Just a little bit about you, where you're from, if you're vegetarian/vegan (or as my neither husband calls himself, a "vegetarian enthusiast") and why. Can't wait to hear all about you guys!

Just had to boast. I found one of the best vegan cookbooks today in a used book store for $8, and on top of that, I had a 15% off coupon!

Vegan with a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. I have her Veganomicon cookbook and it is by FAR the best cookbook I've ever owned. Every single recipe I've tried has been great! VWAV came out first and was actually her very first cookbook. So far the recipes look incredible and I can't wait to try them!!

Hi all! I've been a semi-vegetarian for about 15 years. I do eat seafood and dairy products.

Hey everybody! I'm new to the vegan/vegetarian community, but so far I love it. I stopped eating meat and dairy formally about a month ago, but casually about a year ago. I have IBS, and my stomach just does NOT digest meat or dairy well, so I naturally became vegan.

I love the fact that overall it forces me to THINK before I eat. I can no longer just grab a cookie, pastry or Lean Cuisine in a pinch; I actually prepare all my meals, and acknowledge where food comes from.

I'm always looking for new tips and recipe ideas, so hopefully this is a place for people to come together and share. Welcome!
