I've got a Q for y'all.... I'm at 200lbs (lost 22lbs) and am trying to determine what is a min healthy weight to be at before starting a family. I'm 5ft6" my max weight is suggested at 155lbs. I'm torn between starting a family soon so don't think I'll get to 155lbs within 6months... has anybody done research on this kind of thing? Overall, I'm in really good health and am followig the Weight Watchers Core program which is all about eating unprocessed food, etc. Your insight is much appreciated. Thanks.

Ladies, wanted to share some good news... I am 8 weeks pregnant! I feel very blessed and am happy to have lost the weight I did. The doctor is not concerned about my weight and isn't considering me at risk for it. Woohoo! What classifies me "at risk" is being 35 for a month when I deliver. :-)

I dunno...mine do. They just look a bit different than usual, but mine are under the box that says "my friends" on the left.

Does anyone know why my groups would no longer show up on my page? Maybe it is just me? I probably missed a post on this.

Hey Everyone! I am joining this group because my husband is a soldier in the Army and when he was deployed the first time I gained a lot of weight. We don't have any kids and would like to start trying but I refused until I lose the deployment weight. So, I am here to lose the weight so we can start trying to conceive a baby!

Hi Everyone! I am joining in here b/c I am on a mission to drop some weight before I have another pregnancy. I have lost the SAME 70+ pounds THREE times.. it just gets harder for me.. I finally bit the bullet and joined weight watchers. I am very hopeful that this time I will lose the weight and maintain it. This is going on week 3 and so far so good--excellent results. I believe starting future pregnancies at a healthy weight will make for an easier pregnancy. My 4th baby weighed 11 POUNDS and just felt very difficult to push out, (although I do have very quick births and there were no complications). My 5th pregnancy I made healthier choices and exercised--she weighed 9 and 1/2 pounds at a week over due..and was BREECH..but due to me making good choices I was able to avoid a cesarean and have a safe birth with her. After that experience it just hit home how important a healthy mom is to a healthy pregnancy outcome. (I also hemorraged pretty bad, but due to my really good nutrition I recovered pretty quickly--the Dr. was really suprised). Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and I hope that everyone reach's their goals. It DOES make a difference. My 1st pregnancy I walked a lot and it was my easiest birth. #2,#3, and #4 had more pregnancy discomforts due to my (relative) inactivity and being overweight.. #5 I started out overweight but b/c I made healthier choices the discomforts were not as bad as 2,3,4.. It was amazing. I am really motivated to make #6 and on healthier pregnancies by taking care of my own health NOW. Any other moms of many here?

I just noticed the eyebrows on his mom! I love that drawing.

Check out this sweet drawing one of my students made. This was part of his larger drawing, but it is his pregnant mom. I've studied the drawing development of kids, and at this age (1st grade), the students draw what they know rather than what they see. So he actually drew the baby. So sweet. I want a baby!!!
