I am looking for some new snack ideas, preferably ones I can take along with me. I find that when we get busy with different activities away from home sometimes I will be hungry for an hour or two before I can get around to getting anything. There isn't anything I can stop and get that is good for me. I used to just swing through Fast Food, but I'm avoiding that now.
When I'm at home I try to snack on fruit or veggies but I find these don't travel well and I get a little tired of having the same snacks all the time at home.
What do you all do for healthy snacks both at home and away from home?
Carrie Thanks for the tip! I picked some up at the grocery store today. I never even knew they existed. This will be great when I'm out too close to lunch time and can't get back in time.
Well these are my "temptation, not super healthy on the go snacks" I have a thing of light pringles in my car, and sometimes I will grab a ww cake and take it with me it is in a little plastic wrapper. Also the 100 calorie packs are nice!
I like the mini rice cakes for a quick snack. I've also gotten in the habit of taking a small lunch bag with a cooler pack along when I run errands. I throw in baggies of carrots, snow peas, apple slices, or grapes, and a bottle of water. Everything cool and crunchy.
That is a good idea about the small cooler. I am always usually packing a bunch of snacks for my daugther so I could also take something cool along for her as well.

Hi~
I am new to this site and really like the comments and info~
I have a snack that I have come across that makes you feel like you are eating alot, but it's LOW cal (and low points if you're counting). It's the "Eating Right" brand (it's a Lucerne Foods product- Tom Thumb has them). They are Cheddar Flavored Potato Crisps~ 110 calories, 1.5 g fat, 1 g fiber...get ready for this....serving size = 28 crisps! It's unreal how many you can eat for such few calories. I am the kind of person that needs to feel like I got a big portion. This does the trick!!! ;)
