WI results, veggies triumph again

I was 153 exactly this morning. Up 2.8lbs from two weeks ago, but still better than regaining everything I have lost! I am trying to stay positive about it, can you tell? ;-) I ate really well yesterday until the MIL dropped off some cookies she made...then the husband and I snacked on them after dinner with the kids. I had the attitude of, well I am already negative 27 points this week, what is another spritz cookie gonna do? Then I snacked on peanuts and cheese LOL. Today is a new day, and I… Continue

Momentum plan

I logged into WW Online this morning and was so excited to find a new plan! I love change ;-) This looks like the plan we have all talked about, where you combine tracking points with core, now called "filling" foods :) I think the new name is most appropriate. From what I can see, it looks like they kept the old core list and just changed the name. I like the way I am now supposed to rate my hunger and also how I get to see a little green diamond next to the foods I am eating that are "filling"… Continue

Feeling very frustrated...need some tips please!

I feel like I am in a rut. Ever since I got to the low 150's, I have been yo-yo-ing. Thanksgiving has really thrown me off...I started my new week on Friday, but continued eating like it was a holiday and now I am negative 26 flex for the week! Argh! I don't think I have ever been that negative on flex. I need some advice! My question is this: how do you stay satisfied when you only get to use 21 points per day? Does anyone have any tried and true recipes I might use to get me feeling interested… Continue

monday, monday

Somehow I turned last week's eating extravaganza mentality into a free for all over the weekend, also. I am out of flex already and have WI on Friday, so I think it is soup time! :) I want to make turkey soup with the leftovers, that is project #1 for today/tomorrow. I was 153 this morning, so some of the weight came off but not all, goal for the week is to see 150 on the scale on Friday morning. We are going to set up our Christmas tree today (the husband's weekend starts today) and I am really… Continue

I'm the same way with cold weather...all I want to eat are soups and stews, and the black bean is REALLY good!!! And super easy.

Thanks for the tips on Trader Joes Alison. I will have to try some of the items you mentioned! I too love the frozen stir fry! Yum! The last time I was there I bought the chipotle chicken sausages. They were wonderful!

Hey Alison. I hope your little one is feeling better and that you have had a chance to relax a little. Emily is 7 now, but she has always been a kid that got the yucky belly bug EVERY time it went around. She seriously has been in the hospital with it every year. This year she ended up in the hospital after a soccer game (even though we gave her TONS of gaterade/powerade the whole day before and that day before the game). Some kids just need a little extra help with the fluids.

Congrats on the loss (2.5 is big)! I did good last week (WI was Wed.) lost 2lbs for a grand total of 25lbs (since Jan.) I pigged out today on chinese food (lunch AND dinner) so I expect to have to drink of a ton of water weight over the weekend...but I put it all in my journal...accountablility is key for me. gotta lose a couple more for our Thanksgiving challenge, but it's doable... I have to say that this little challenge has been good for me...afterward we need to do another one (5lbs to NYE?) wdyt? Thanks for checking in, and keep me posted!

Week 1 (of 5): down 0.4lbs... not bad considering I still have those darned candy corns killing me.

Hi Alison. Thanks so much for commenting on my post from yesterday. I really do appreciate the tips. I think that you are 100% correct...I need to leave work without being starving and then I just need to have some little things planned to do when I get home. If I know I want to clean the bathroom or do laundry I will focus on that instead of wandering around looking for something to eat. After all, who couldn't stand to use a little extra cleaning?
