About Me:
Arlene is an Arizona journalist who has had to battle with her weight since about fifth grade. She lost 105 pounds in two years on Atkins, but regained about 70 of those pounds after meeting her boyfriend, a carb freak. She joined WW in August 2007 and has lost nearly 50 pounds since then. It's taken more than a year, but she's doing it.

Not looking forward to WI

It's been a not-great week, so I won't be surprised if I regain some of the 2.4 pounds I lost last week. I'll hope for a pleasant surprise, but really Sunday and Thursday were the only days I was truly OP. I had the munchies Friday night, and Saturday went to a movie with the boyfriend (after we got me my tires. $243 for 3 tires. It's highway robbery, I tell you!) Jewelry or tires?

This is the question I find myself facing tonight. The Boyfriend said he'd get me a present for my birthday, and I'm leaning toward a nice bracelet or necklace ... but I really NEED new tires. (Apparently the right rear one is in really bad shape.) So instead of getting jewelry for my birthday, I'm getting stinkin' tires. :P But I guess if I need them, I'd better get them. You know that saying about good intentions, right?

The road to hell is paved with them ... Well, I had the best of intentions. I took the computer to the Boyfriend's Monday intending to blog — or at least keep up with everyone else's. But I was off work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and didn't turn the darn thing on once while I was running around. Eric and I went to Phoenix Tuesday (for my birthday) and again on Wednesday (for his tennis league). I also intended to stay OP ... but didn't. Time to party!

Finally ... I DID IT! I got that 50-pound charm! Woo-hoo! Actually, I went beyond losing 0.8 to lose 2.4 for the week, which puts my total loss at 51.6. Can I do the happy dance now? I wasn't worried last night, but this morning, I started thinking: It's almost TOM. What if I don't lose because of the water weight? But I needn't have worried, obviously. This feels great! I'm hoping they can pull it together..i just got an email that I could go sit rooftop $195 all inclusive drink/food but thats ALOT of money...so tempting though!!! I agree with the score and how does that happen..same thing when I was watching it from my phone...GO CUBBIES!!!
