Exercise and Food Plan

This plan will change with time.


Exercise
Cardio 30 -45 minutes at least two times a week

Strength training alternating upper and lower body at least once a week

Yoga or Pilates at least once a week.

Food
Following Dr. Oz's recommendations of eliminating foods that have these in the first five ingredients - sugar, salt, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oil and anything starting with "enriched"

Resolution?

This is my monthly resolution. I have come to find that making a list of things to do for a year simply does not work for me. I can barely make it a week without having to re-evaluate my plans. So here goes nothing. This is what I want to accomplish for the month of January.

• Cardio at least three times a week
• Strengthening at least two times a week
• Yoga or Pilates at least once a week
• 90 oz of water a day
• Take multivitamin daily
• 3 to 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day

Navigating Life

Learning how to navigate life while trying to be healthy is hard.

The last two weeks, my aunt has been in and out of the hospital. She had a tumor and they removed it but could not find a way to stop the bleeding. After a lengthy battle, the family decided last night to sign a DNR. They removed her life support and we had to watch her life slip away as her oxygen levels dropped. It took a couple hours. She is now in a better place.

Last night, I took solace in a BAG of lime tostitos chips.

Yep still alive

Where has the time gone? Tomorrow Noah will be 9 months which gives me pause for reflection. Since he has been born…
• I have regained all the weight loss from childbirth – 30lbs
• My cousin went to Afghanistan for a 6 month tour
• My sugar cravings came back hard
• My soda craving (which is merely sugar) return
• My cousin came back from his tour last week – yippee
• I sliced my ankle open
• Fell down the stairs a month later trying to walk on the bad ankle

What in the world?!!?!?

I simply cannot believe this.

I have been trying to start my C2K program for a month now. I finally, FINALLY made it through the first week and I was feeling pretty good about it. What happens as I start my second week? The lamp globe that is over my light on the top of the stairs in my basement decides to fall..... yes just fall. Hi there! Thanks for the comment :) I actually set up this page on blogtolose.com and never use it... I'm still on the old site (http://blogs.weightwatchen.com/jennifer). I've been doing well lately for the last couple weeks! I've got a plan to lose 20 pounds in about 20 weeks (just before a big family vacation to NYC). I'm currently at 156.5, down 3.5 in 2 weeks. I'm motivated, I'm working on it, and I'm feeling great! Thanks for asking! How's everything going for you? How's the weight loss? I haven't been keeping up with blogs over here...
