About Me:
I'm currently on Weight Watchers......started August 8, 2007. I am 54 years old, 2 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, and 4 grandchildren, and I live in central Illinois.

In addition to the workout information below, I ride my bike, I take 2 pilates classes per week, my "gym" is Curves for Women, and the weights I lift are done during the pilates classes. I recently added an Aero Pilates machine to my workout, that I purchased on QVC. I love this machine. It also has a rebounder for cardio work.

I'm a walk-a-holic, I'm a gym rat ALL the way, I love lifting weights

Hello.....it's me!...............and my new venture--lia sophia jewelry!!

Well, it's been over 2 months since I've blogged on here....shame on me! I've just been really busy. It's been 15 weeks since I got to Weight Watchers Lifetime, and I'm still going strong. I'm still going to weekly WW meetings and weighing in, but not staying for the meeting, because of my conflicting pilates class. I'm still working out at Curves and walking and taking a twice a week pilates class. My goal was 155 and at my WI on Wednesday, I weighed 151.2, and that's the lowest I've ever been… Continue

5th Week After Lifetime

I haven't blogged for 3 weeks, so I thought I'd write a small one today. For those of you who wonder, Maintenance is not a whole lot different from being in "Lose Mode". I continue to eat healthy foods most of the time, record everything that I eat, attend weekly WW meetings (however, I haven't been actually staying for the meetings because it conflicts with my pilates class), and exercise. I still fret slightly, if I gain a little, and still feel wonderful when I lose a little. I am currently 0… Continue

2nd Week After Lifetime

I decided to continue to go to Weight Watchers every Wednesday night, since I lost my job 2 weeks ago. I figured that since my routine was messed up and I was home a lot, I didn't want to stop eating the same way I had been eating the whole time I was losing. So....at my Wednesday night WW meeting, I weighed exactly the same as I did the week before. I'm staying around 20 points per day and eating about half of my weekly flex points. I'm doing some kind of exercise almost every day.

On the job… Continue

First Week after Lifetime

and I lost 1.4......total 95.4 pounds. I'm down 3 pounds from my goal (which was the top of my healthy weight range).

Since I lost my job last week and I'm at home now and no longer on my regular daily routine, I decided that I would continue to go to my weekly WW meeting and just act the same way I did when I was losing. Besides, I wanted to lose another 5, 10 or perhaps even 15 more pounds after I hit my goal.

I've been doing really well at home, too, not eating junk. So far, I've been able… Continue

The Good News and the Bad

OK....Good News FIRST! I made Weight Watchers Lifetime last night!!!!! It took me 68 weeks to get to goal, plus 6 maintenance weeks = 74 weeks to get to Lifetime......94 pounds lost!!! Yayyyyyyy!

Now the Bad News! I lost my job on Tuesday morning, the day before I made Lifetime. :(

My company has been struggling since we lost a bunch of contracts last May from our largest customer, and we've all been talking about it for months. We've seen the handwriting on the wall, we've wondered how they c… Continue

Hi Bonnie,

I'm up by Bloomington/Normal. I have been slacking on the healthy eating and am trying to get back on track.

Good luck with Lia Sophia.

Hi Bonnie, I saw you on the Members Map. I live in Central Illinois too.
Are you still on the job hunt? Sometimes a job opening gets emailed to me and I could pass it along your way, if you are interested.

Congrats on the weight loss and sticking with it.

Could be....I don't run. But I do Curves a couple times a week, a pilates class 2 times a week and I have have an Aero Pilates machine that I do about 4-5 times a week. But I haven't been walking much lately...either really cold or really busy.

I'm hanging...it's been almost a month since I was told of my layoff on 1/6. And yes, ALL those applications...sheesh. And a lot of the State agencies make you fill out "their" application, and it's not online. I'm so sick of printing all the information on my resume over and over again. It's ridiculous in this day and age of computers. Yea, I know what you mean about exploring different things. I took 3 state tests yesterday for things I've never done and got 2 A's and 1 B, which I missed getting an A by 1 question...dang it. They were Stores Clerk (which actually means running a warehouse), Pharmacist Technician and Data Processing Technician Trainee. OMG...the pharmacist tech test's first portion was all metric, and they didn't teach metric when I went to school! But I only missed 1 out of 12 questions....unbelievable! And on the Data Processing Tech test, I was about mid-way through the test and they were these huge long story problems and I looked up and had 37 questions left and only 46 minutes and I thought....."there's no way I'm going to be able to finish this" and I thought...."I'm sure I've blown this test anyway, so who cares"...I just skimmed through the questions and picked the answer that I thought it was, and I ended up only missing 2 questions....can you believe that? It was very stressful, and I'm glad those are over...at least at CMS, which are the agencies directly under the governor. But it was a huge number of tests I took altogether.

Wow, it does seem like you should be able to eat more than 20 pts... this is a good question for Roni's videos, I think. Maybe if you were to eat a few more, your body will just go up and down the same couple of pounds, but overall stay the same? I guess Roni can eat 28-30 pts because she runs? But, you are active too. Craziness. 20 pts is barely any food?!

Hang in there with the job stuff. Must be driving you a little batty. Taking all those tests, and the constant search. I am a fed worker, and was on the job market for 5 months--I spent so many hours filling out applications?! I would bring my laptop to a coffee shop and plug away. Looking back I can see what a great opportunity it was to explore and apply for different things, but at the time, I was a stressbucket!

Hi Bonnie!
I hope things are going okay. I am sorry again about the job loss! I lost my job a year and a half ago, and it gave me the opportunity to try something new, and now I have an even more rewarding job--even got a raise! I think good things will come of this for you. BTW, you look great in the latest photo!

Hi Bonnie! I hope you had a great New Years! I can't believe you've finally reached your goal...kudos to you! Thanks for all the moral support you've given me thus far! Oh, and you wanted me to keep you updated on the book...well, I'm making some serious progress with it AND I am seriously considering attending a writer's conference in NYC the last weekend in March--wish me luck if I get to go to because I will have the opportunity to meet several publishers at the workshops! (Imagine me biting my nails)
