About Me:

I am a 29 years old and married to a wonderful man. I have 2 children, they are 2 and 6. I work as a nurse in Labor and Delivery and I work the night shift (if any of you are nurses or know nurses, you know the ones who choose to stay on nights are a unique breed). I am glad to be working towards my weight loss goals, I haven't really focused on myself since having my son in 2006, so now it's time to focus and get rid of the extra pounds, 53 pounds to be exact..

Workout Philosophy:

I'm new to exercise, I only exercise because I have to

Let's watch the progress

Goals
1st goal: be under 200lbs by 1/31/09
2nd goal: lose 10lbs by 2/14/09
3rd goal: Run 1 mile straight without stopping by 3/1/09 (still working on this one)
4th goal: lose 25lbs by 5/1/09
5th goal: be at my goal weight of 150lbs by 8/31/09

Rewards
reward for first 10lbs off-pedicure (196lbs) Need to reward myself
reward for 10% weightloss-massage (26lbs)
reward for finishing 1 mile run-new running outfit
rewards for GOAL weight- I may dreaming big here, but a trip to Bahamas.(150-160)

Steroids

I haven't been keeping up with my goal of blogging weekly, funny because I seem to be so consistant in all other areas of my life (totally joking). I have good intentions, but I seem to procrastinate. I would love tips on how people stay consistant. Tips for any areas of life from household chores to losing weight. Seriously, give me your most basic tips, I could use them.

Last Friday

So, I made it under 200lbs. WOO HOO!!!!! Now I am nervous... I am going on an overnight girls trip to Nashville and I know there will be cocktails and cake. I will try to make good choices when I can and I will be back 110% on Monday. Thanks for listening to my rambling.

We do have a neonatologist but not a perinatologist so who we keep and who we send to the University Medical Center up the road depends on what's up. Last night I had the joy of admitted an eclamptic 18 yo.. you know the drill.
I hate to blame nights for the gain (because obviously the NOC shift did not put the food in my mouth) but I didn't gain anything back until night shift. The whole 'eating to stay awake', not such a good plan. Good luck to you with your goals. No guilt and move on.
