Just one more day and then it's off we go...

Just one more day and then I'm on VACATIONS!!!

We will be leaving for Lake Placid Thursday because my husband is doing the Ironman USA on Sunday (2.4 miles swim, 112 miles bike and 26,2 miles run), we'll be coming back home on Tuesday and we're only going back to work on August 4th.

I'm so glad I have been able to run again and when I do my leg doesn't hurt at all, this week I'm up to 5 min run / 1 min walk times 5 but I do it 6 times, I run 3 times a week. I really am very happy about it.

Started running again... slowly!

I started running two weeks ago, I started very slowly, gradually... The first week I was running 2 minutes / walking 1 minute times 5, I did that 3 times a week. The following week it was 3 minutes run / 1 minute walk times 5 again every other day. This week it's 4 minutes run / 1 minute walk times 5, every other day. And you know what... my hamstring doesn't even hurt :-)))) that is the best part! I will keep on going gradually, adding a minute of running every week. I'm so glad I can run agai… Continue

Wiser and smarter it will be

Running:
I've decided to be wiser and smarter.... I will not run for a little while :-(

I thinks it's the best thing to do othewise my injury won't heel properly. It always hurt like crazy the day after a run. And when I'll start running again in a couple of weeks (maybe 2 or 3) I'll start slow, doing the run/walk method.

So for the moment I'll walk and I'll do some cycling or spinning.

Hope I'll be able to go run with my new partner again soon.

New runnign partner

Hello all,

Went running at lunch time with a new partner, I think she'll ba a good partner, it's always more motivating to run with somebody else.

My hamstring still hurst a little when I run but it's mostly the day after that it hurst like crazy, still don't know what I will do. Went to get a massage twice soo far, it help but it's not healing it....

I felle better now that I'm taking my medications for my high blood pressure, seems like everything else is okay as per the blood test, I just… Continue

Feeling good, went running at lunch time!

I've been feeling much better for the last 3 days, this feels soooo good... The medication is strating to work and it's quite a relief.

Went running at lunch time, it was the 3rd times in the last 5 weeks.... It wasn't as bas as I though. I ran 6 km and stopped after 15 minutes to walk for 1 minute and stopped again after another 13 minutes to walk 1 minute. My pace is not good but it's ok because I was starting over again and I didn't want to push too hard. My pace will come with times.

Way to go on your run last night Chantal! AWESOME! And don't ask ME about the sensor...lol. Mine is in a little pouch I velco onto my laces. Since I put it in there, I've never taken it out!

Hey Chantal! Glad to see you joined! Not that we have THAT much to talk about in our group...but if you are interested in joining our current challenge on Nike.com...feel free.
