Profile Information

About Me:
I am a 30 year old Stay at Home Mom. I have 2 beautiful children, a girl (4yo) and a boy (2yo). I have never had a great self body image. For as long as I can remember I have been "overweight". Looking back at pictures, I couldn't have been more wrong. I think I looked and felt best when I was in college, diving for three hours every day...I am normally not an exercise person, unless it is fun and involves socializing, and lets face it with two kids and one income, those situations are not easy to come by. I am slowly learning to like working out (at home)...anyway, back then I weighed 145lbs and was totally Hot (not that I would have admitted it back then). Nearly ten years later I am 165 lbs and am hoping to get back to around 145 soon. After I had my son, I got back to 166 but somehow ballooned up 20 lbs to 186 by the new year so I decided to do something about it. I have been doing WW on my own since January '08, not religiously like I should at first, but got better about it, and lost the 20lbs that I gained after DS. My first goal was to lose 18.6 lbs (10%) by my birthday in June...I did it! I seem to have been stuck there for almost a year...My next big goal is the next 10%, 16.7lbs..but more than that I want to be fit and happy, I want to be able to keep up with my kids and not feel like they wear me out! I want to be able to put on a bathing suit and not cover it up with something...or sit on the couch and not pull a pillow over my stomach to hide my rolls...I know I can do it, I really need to be pushed...so here I am...I want to push and be pushed.

I'll do fine...I ended up WI at 153.8 this week, so at least it wasn't the 156 that it was on Monday!!!

I am checking in to get myself back into the habit! I have done well since starting my new job!!! stayin the same isn't a bad thing...

Yesterday's WI was okay...I stayed the same as last week...I thought there would be a gain to be honest, because the fourth of July was brutal...planning for foods that you don't know are going to be there is really hard! but a new week begins and I am planning my way to another loss hopefully... I have 5 lbs to get to my second 10% so that's my focus now...getting to that number (150.6) and then beyond that it's getting down another 5 to 145...

WI was good

Hey everyone! WI went well this week... I'm back down 1.4 after my 1.6 gain during my birthday week. Now the trick is to keep it going over the holiday PICNIC weekend... picnic food is so yummy, and when I don't prepare it it's hard to know what's in it and how many points it's worth... I still haven't gotten back on the exercise wagon and I'm thinking that it's going to start to slow down significantly if I don't get my butt in gear.

what do you do? point use

This week has been a little wierd...usually I use ALL of my daily points EVERY day!!! this week, I had 4 left on day 1...went over 4 on day 2...4 left on day 3 and went over 12 on day 4...
my question is, if you have a balance of points left on any given day, do you add those points to your flex points...or just let them go... becaue I went over 4 and 12, I have 19 flex points left for this week (not bad) but I was wondering if I should count the over4 under4 as a wash and not use flex points fo… Continue

I was up 1.4 this week(back to a 29lb total)...expected and over...now down to business
Today was a good day...I stuck to my plan and ate healthy all day...got some walking in at the mall with the kids because the weather wasn't supposed to be great...but it turned out nice grrr

Birthday week

Saturday was my 31st birthday...I am not feeling any older but not any younger either lol. I didn't count points on Saturday or Sunday because I had NO control over what I ate (food was made for me and for father's day...so I just ate and dealt with it) not to mention what I drank (my birthday party was a BLAST!) I can't believe it!!! 30LBS!!!

I am officially down a total of 30.6lbs today (from Jan. '08)!!! I had a 3lb loss this week!!! I can't tell you what a huge difference it is having DH doing this with me :) we both lost 10+ (he lost 11)lbs in the last month!!!
I have my first interview tomorrow for a new teaching job (scared s#itless!!!) and I am feeling so much better about myself after today's WI (155.4)...I got a new suit (SIZE 10!!!) and I am feeling GREAT!

Hi! I really appreciate your comment on my wall. I am in an information gathering mode, so reading about your experiences is just what I need right now! I scheduled the ultrasound and will decide whether or not to do the amnio based on those results...

I am in this weird stage right now--feeling a little better, but still having trouble eating... I think once my appetite picks up, I will go back to counting calories diligently (right now I have trouble getting to 1800, so it stresses me out to count!). My doc said 1800 calories seems about right, and like you said, the 20 lbs I will gain will most likely go away soon after I have the baby. Plus I walk to and from work--a mile each way--so that will help me feel "healthy" despite the scale going up a bit.

I will be looking to you for mommy advice too :~)
