Profile Information

About Me:
After many years of fighting with my weight and 3 children later….I finally decided it was time to be “a fat chick no more”! I had tried all the diets you can think of Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, etc..Some worked, some worked better…Nothing worked for good! So….at the end of August 2007, I decided to try the Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center! The program involves 5 supplements a day plus one meal, weekly MD visits, weekly support groups, a psychologist, dietician, & exercise physiologist. I started at 190.8 and have lost a total of 35.6 to date (Feb 2008). However, I am having a hard time losing the last 20 or so pounds, so I thought I would create this blog for support!

Ups and Downs

Well.....I jogged today!!!!!! Very exciting, was VERY proud of myself.........then I ate more of those darn nuts than I should of. Bought them for my 3 year old to try to get some form of protein in him. Of course, he didn't eat but a few...I ate a few too many handfuls. Overall, my choices were good today (except for the nut overindulgence). Once again......I'm blogging, I'm staying accountable, walking the dog, and I even jogged! Fatchicknomore!

First day--already straying off the path--Dragged myself back on!

Just wanted to say that I made it through my first day of being back on track! I started to stray and eat the kids rice with dinner. I was planning to just eat protein and vegetables. But the kids rice looked SOOO good and I had practically starved myself all day! Isn't that how it always works??? So, without a second thought, I had ALL the rice that the kids left (which was about 2 servings). I'm finally back and this time READY!

I have not posted since July. That IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I have really used every excuse in the book to eat and NOT exercise. I worked so hard and lost all that weight and NOW I refuse to let it all come back. I have now made a committment to get back on track, back to a healthy lifestyle, and make some lasting life changes. My plan is to take it one baby step at a time. I'm going to start journaling my food and walking the dog! Those are my first two baby steps. The dog needs walked anyway and jou… Continue

Fatchicknomore!

Frustration and hard decisions........................Help!!!!!!!!!

I have been putting this off now for almost 6 weeks!!!!!!!! I am 5 1/2 weeks post TT surgery! I have used EVERY excuse in the book to not get back to eating and exercising the way I should!! I have been monitoring my weight and it has gone up a few pounds after my camping vacation and back down a few pounds when I feel like being careful (which has not in any way been consistent). I need some accountability and a return to a regular schedule. I have to do SOMETHING and fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
