my oh my how time flys by

I can not believe I have not blogged in forever. So much has happend since transitioning the kids to be homeschooled, I ran my first 10k in July and had my 1 year anniversary race in August. My first race was in August of 08 and I signed up for the 1 mile, I was such a noob..lol I went back a year later and did the 5k at that same race.

I have been through highs and lows doing 3-6 miles runs few times a week to doing nothing. I suffered injuries do to my noobness and hit plateau after plateau w… Continue

Week 21: 7/25/09 - 7/31/09.. one of those weeks that remotivate you :)

Straight to stats, I am up a 1/2 lb. With TOMs arrival this week and a big loss last week I expected the result I got. I actually thought it would be between 1-2 lbs, so I was still pleasently surprised.

This week was full of wonderfull surprises. Discovering I have gone down so much that I am no longer a buying slave to Lane Bryant. The freedom I felt walking out of that door had me soaring :) I went to walmart yesterday tried a few things on and I am officially going to report size 14 the tag… Continue

Goodbye Lane Bryant..you will be missed...sort of..::waves::

Yesterday was the first of many days to come to shop for the new school year. We ended up at nordstrom rack looking for killer deals on running shoes for the boys. Anywho, Lane Bryant is also in the parking lot. well, for the last 20 weeks I have barely been shopping on this weight loss journey, wearing things untill it is just not possible and just not knowing how long something will fit dilemma. Well I have only purchased running/workout clothing back in early June, so havent tried on any actu… Continue

On my way to marking off an important life time goal :)

To be an example that inspires my family :)

I am not sure when to tell how you can cross a goal like this off, I have my entire life to be an example and fruits of this will continue to come long after I am gone. I wanted to share fruit I have already witnessed as my obedience to God takes root.

The first fruit revealed it self at the lied childrens museum back in May. They have centers set up just like smiths, auto shop, the airport and the kids can dress up and pretend to be the workers or s… Continue

Week 20: 7/18/09 - 7/24/09, Hope & Spirit Renewed, 10% Loss goal achieved!

Wow week 20 is complete! after week 19 being a gutter week, my worst low so far.. it was hard to even look at any good outcomes coming out of week 20. I guess when you are so use to failing or giving up in the past it is naturally where your mind goes as if it is your truth for the rest of your life. Many people echo how it is so much easier to go negative then stay positive when it is tough.

A new profound understanding of a word that can be used so lightly and simply came out of this...HOPE.… Continue

Hey, I miss you. I took a little, well longish break for a couple of months but am back at it now. I want to hear how the homeschooling is going. My daughter homeschools her older two (7 & 9) and they all love it. Very bright kids, too--I have a Masters in Education, so my opinion is not entirely biased! Hope you come back.

Hey, Thanks for the comment on my page (pictures)...I saw a huge difference in my midsection after I did shred...I haven't done it in quite a while, but I'm still doing some basic core strengthening activities (always tightening my abs, sitting up straighter, some crunches on an exercise ball...
I ended up getting that job...I went to training the last couple of days (Holy Culture Shock!)...I'm really excited about everything!

Hey there! Yes, I have 5 kids, but two of them are old enough to babysit the others. I actually haven't worked out much since I started this time, but when I do, I either take them all to the rec center with me, or I leave them home together while I go out and get it done. It took a long time to get to this point, but I actually have quite a bit of freedom because of their ages now. When school starts in a couple weeks, I will only have one little guy home with me during the day :( so he and I will go to the rec center together. We are doing okay...recovering from the flooding downstairs. It is quite a production!!! Hope you are all well. I tried to find your bio on here....didn't see it. How old are your kids?

you are quite welcome! I have most of the biggest loser books, 30 day jump start, and the first book, (basic program book, I have borrowed the family cookbook from the library, and I also have Bob's book, Are you ready? and one from Jillian (making the cut).

Today has not been the best day for me on the food plan, so I am going to have start making some changes and cleaning up my food choices. Like no more cereal, and cutting out the breads. Will have to stick to just whole wheat rice, and quinoa etc.. no matter how much I want to eat that stuff, and cereal is one of my favorite morning meals, I just cannot eat it. The prepackaged type, like kashi golean, and granola, etc.. just can't hack it.

I need to start getting into the habit of planning and preparing meals ahead of time, not a thing I am used to doing but will have to start making those changes and get used to it. just picking myself and start all over and move on.

One other thing is I did get on a treadmill this morning and walked a mile and a good pace. :)
Well thanks again for joining, and talk with you later on.

Welcome to Biggest losers group G2Blev,
Glad you are here! Group is new just started a couple of days ago, so hopefully it will start booming, but it is good to see someone come along. I just started getting into the Biggest Loser way of life a couple of weeks ago, I am doing okay with it, some days I forget to count my calories, and I just try to follow the outline of the basic plan.

I know calorie counting is the best way to go, for me anyway, it is something I have never really gotten into so it takes some getting used to if you haven't done it in the past.

I do keep up with the workouts, tommorow is weigh day for me, So I will see how i have done this week. you have a great page! well thanks again for joining and welcome!

Hope to talk with you again soon.
