New Hair

I had my hair cut and dyed the other day by my lovely friend. She was so good. I didnt think it was going to be this short. She did stop me and ask and I said yes shorter. I didnt know how short it really was till I got to work and kept catching glimses of my self in my patients rooms. Yikes my hair is boy short! But I have to say I love it. So cool expecially since its been so flippin hot here.

Costco Dinner night!

Today I went hiking with our friends after the kids were dropped off. Fun. I love hiking with our new old friends. New bc we never did a lot of stuff with them for some reason. Now we are all on the same kick and want to get skinny & healthy for our Keiki's. Its been fun. We have BBQ, Hiked and swim all the time. Yuck!

That is how i felt sitting at lunch today with my friend. I was late meeting her and rushed through the menu and ordered the first thing that I saw...HOT crab sandwhich on toasted bread. Oh my it came and it just was not what I wanted. I craved..K now get this, a salad! Yes a frikin salad is what i wanted. I swear to you one month ago I would of inhaled that meal. I ate 1/3 of it at threw the rest out.

Now I need to make up for this meal. Running 30 minutes tonight, and doing my tone DVD.

blah blah boring post...

I worked all weekend and didnt workout but I ate great. I ate a salad each night I worked for dinner. Made a huge difference in how I feel. I bought tons of stuff at costco with Hill the other day to help me with my eating. He has been so great and is slowly changing and not being such an enabler. I swear sometimes I would come home from working 12 hours at night and i would have a BK breakfast sitting on the table for me that he bought on the way home from taking the kids to school. I weighed in yesterday at 214~ so excited:)

Been doing okay. Going hiking today to try and burn more. I only walked 1 hour this week so I need to make up for all the days missed. I was keeping active all week though so Im not a total loser.

The Wii Fit is what has me exercising EVERY DAY. I feel guilty if I miss a day because little Mr. Wii Fit tells you, "I missed you yesterday, the key to blah, blah, blah is to work at it every day." If you invest in the Wii and Wii Fit, I would just stick with that for a while. We bought the Wii Active Game and it's kicking my butt. I like all the cardio, but the squats and lunges are KILLING ME. Anyway, I do think it was worth every penny. Also, as for Diet Soda, it's worse for you than the real stuff, but the artifical sweetner in it doesn't trigger the release of insulin in your body. Just a note. You'll get to under 200. You're almost there!! :)

Thanks for the comment! Diet soda has been shown to adversely affect your thyroid function, slowing weight loss. There has also been research showing that diet soda, while having no calories, can increase your desire for other sugary things. Last summer, I noticed that after I completely cut out all sodas, my regular candy was too sweet for me.
