The scale was all over the place again this week, but today's weigh-in was 163. Two down from last week and enough to have me in a much happier place today. I'm trying very hard not to think about the fact that I kind of expected to be at 163 two we…

Keep your eye on the prize... I got comfortable and plateaued for about a year (at ~165) I'm back on track along with my hubby and I can already see BIG changes again...I've lost ~5lbs in 2weeks and am not feeling deprived or put upon to keep track…

I know what you mean ... I'm glad to see the scale go down, and more than a little ticked when it doesn't. I like your idea of listing what you did right (and wrong) for the week, though.

Even though your frustrated, you seem to have a positive attitude. Keep going! Would it help to use one of those formulas for daily calorie burn and figure out how many calories you burn each day? Then figure out your food and daily calorie deficit.…

The scale was all over the place this week, some days down, some days up. Today's weigh-in was 165, which us up .4 from last week, and yeah, I am a little put out. After reliably dropping like a rock for four straight months, I have been hovering ar…

Or even try shorter workouts, several times a week. Even ten or twenty minutes of pilates or with an exercise DVD (The Walk Away the Pounds workout video is less than 30 minutes, I think) while the kids are napping is better than nothing. Actually,…

This morning the scale was at 164.6, a pound down from last week, and even after my little gain of last week, I'm down .4 from the week before. Which is pretty much what I expected, although I had a lot of moments this past week were I was very temp…

Well, today’s weigh-in was 165.6. Apparently, my regular mid-month stall turned into a little bit of a gain this time. The thing is, though, my daily average calories for the week were 1,509, I spent 104 minutes on the exercise bike (30.5 miles), a…

Weigh-In--No Tiny Tantrum Today

The scale was all over the place again this week, but today's weigh-in was 163. Two down from last week and enough to have me in a much happier place today. I'm trying very hard not to think about the fact that I kind of expected to be at 163 two weeks ago...

I was a little over on calories again, my daily average was 1,549. But I stepped up the exercise a little bit and did 106 minutes (31.8 miles) on the exercise bike, got a 1.9 mile (33 minute) walk in and, over the course of the week, did t… Continue

Weigh-in--The Dreaded Pleateau?

The scale was all over the place this week, some days down, some days up. Today's weigh-in was 165, which us up .4 from last week, and yeah, I am a little put out. After reliably dropping like a rock for four straight months, I have been hovering around 165 for pretty much the entire month of May, and while I am trying to be patient and not let the number on the scale ruin my motivation, it TOTALLY IS RUINING MY MOTIVATION.

My average daily calories were a little bit high at 1,589. My carbs to… Continue

Weigh-in--As Expected

This morning the scale was at 164.6, a pound down from last week, and even after my little gain of last week, I'm down .4 from the week before. Which is pretty much what I expected, although I had a lot of moments this past week were I was very tempted to just throw in the towel and start calling it "maintaining." It is so hard to stay motivated in this thing.

My daily calorie average was a little high, 1,535. The overage happened mainly on Saturday, when feeling bad about my weigh-in last comb… Continue

Weigh-in—The Ides of May

Well, today’s weigh-in was 165.6. Apparently, my regular mid-month stall turned into a little bit of a gain this time.

The thing is, though, my daily average calories for the week were 1,509, I spent 104 minutes on the exercise bike (30.5 miles), and also did many, many reps with the 5 lb. hand weights and a bunch of lunges/squats/crunches/pushups.

I did go over my calories on Mother’s day last Sunday. My daughter wanted to take me out for my favorite breakfast—waffles—and since I hadn’t had a… Continue

Weigh In—Making an Honest Drivers License Out of It

I really thought maybe last week’s weigh in was a fluke, and that some of it would come back this week, but this morning the scale said 165. That’s down 1.4 from last week.

Ladies and gentlemen, the weight on my drivers license is now officially correct.

Cash in your life insurance, because I’m pretty sure that’s one of the seven signs of the apocalypse. Tomorrow I’m gonna go get myself my first pedicure of the season as a reward.

Also, I didn’t even realize it, but I passed the 25 pou… Continue
