About Me:
I am a 21 year old college student hoping to stay accountable and lose some weight in the process. So far I'm finding the college scene extremely weight-loss unfriendly. My major is in the food industry, so this makes staying on track a bit harder and more challenging.
I love to bake- it's my passion, stress reliever, favorite past-time, and probably the cause of ten extra pounds around my waist.

A Little Unsure

I've been struggling a lot since registering for this Blog to Lose page, as I'm simply not quite sure just what to do with it. I must confess, I pretty unorganized and I tend to start things then never see them through. Tomorrow is Weigh Day

Tomorrow is my unofficial "weigh-in" day and I'm slightly anxious. I've been running and weight lifting some this past week, so I know my body will have retained water and the scale will probably reflect that. I know I shouldn't let it discourage me, but more than likely it will slightly overshadow my flawless food journal this week. I'm going to just keep plugging away. Slowly but Surely

It's been extremely encouraging to see the scale move downwards instead of upwards these past few weeks. I've really been enjoying and looking forward to cooking healthy foods and seeing the results. My only stumbling block thus far has been my roommates. I live with five girls who LOVE pasta...and ice cream...and peanut butter. I have heard of that race! I was going to do one in Marion at the end of this month but we will be in Omaha so its not going to work out...but there are a ton in May & in the coming months that I am goign to be checking out!

yes. i never realized how hard it would be until i got to college. but I'm hoping to lose around ten pound by christmas. I think it's nice because I am able to use the gym..so i've been doing that a lot lately. and just not snacking after dinner which is probably the biggest challenge for me.

Hi Kelsey! I am beginning to train for a half marathon in late January and would love to hear any tips you may have. Have you always been a runner? How do you get the motivation to keep going when all your mind wants to do is stop? I have historically been a terrible runner but am trying to reverse all of that!
