Ah! Thanks for the reminder that Kashi makes oatmeal. I saw it in the grocery store a couple weeks ago and will now remember to put it on my grocery list this week. Need a new breakfast routine!

About Me:
I am a mother of two and I want to be healthy for them. I have had a weight problem my entire life and after I had my first child I decided to change my ways and get healthy. I lost 40 pounds after my 1st pregnancy and now I am back after my second. I have lost over 50 pounds this time around and have about 30 more to go to be at my ultimate goal!
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers

Weight Loss Progress and Goals!

My original goal was to be at 140 by Bryson's first birthday but since he is now 19 months and I am still 33 pounds from my goal obviously that didn't happen. My new goal is to be 140 by his second birthday and I have booked a 7 day cruise the week after his first birthday. I will be at goal by then! As far as weight loss progress, I have lost about 4-5 pounds per month on average until February and I haven't been able to get back on track since then. I am determined to turn over a new leaf.

Weigh In

Well, a 4:30 am run was just the trick to get yesterday off to a good start. So good infact that I did it again this morning. My weigh in is alot higher than the last time I posted on here but it is 6 pounds less than the highest it has been so I'm happy about being on the road back down. Been MIA for a while!

Well, I know I have been gone for a while from here and my weight is showing it a little. I have been so busy with school this last semester, work and life that I haven't really had much time for anything else. I am officially finished this semester and proud to say with straight A's so now it is time to get back on track before the madness starts again. We are going out to dinner tonight but I have already scoped out the menu and I am going to get blackened tilapia with veggies. I am planning t… Continue

still on a roll....

I did good yesterday...I ate exactly my points allowance! And I was full and content all day. I'm hoping to break 170 on Friday....again...I've done it before and then sabotage myself and go right back up...ugh. My husband is working on Saturday so that seems to help me stay on track. I'm not sure what him being home has to do with me falling off the wagon...maybe it's because he always wants to grill and it's not always healthy stuff. Or order pizza...which is my weakness.

Here is yesterday's… Continue

I really hope it was helpful and not insulting! :) I knew as soon as I read it that it had me pinned to a T...but it somehow felt insulting to me at the same time :S so not meant to offend! :)

Hey Kim, Thanks for your comment! Working the 3 12's is not picnic especially since my husband is Deputy Sheriff and works 12's as well. Even though I went to college right after high school I went to nursing school with kids so I sympathize with that process. It wasn't easy but I survived. I worked two or 3 12's a week during school as well (as a nurse intern). Sometimes we ate cereal for dinner. OK a lot of the time we ate cereal for dinner ;) But it was worth it. I love what I do :) Hang in there. You can do it! I like to say that anything worth having is worth fighting for!

Have you tried to re-calibrate it? Under Nike+, Settings, Sensor. I have never done it, but apparently it will make it more accurate. How much is it off by?

to reset your ipod...hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time for about 3-4 seconds. It sort of reboots it. The screen goes black then the apple appears while it is booting up.

(the FP's go to eating out. We usually have an indulgent dinner once a week that I don't even try to count. Pizza. Olive Garden. something like that)

You know what Kim... if you're working out that much, I'd really say add in a few calories. Are you eating your AP's? I didn't believe in this. Really My thinking was if people who are anorexic can lose weight by NOT eating how on earth can I NOT lose weight by eating less? But honest to goodness I lost MORE weight by adding in those AP's. Also I eat my 35 FP's too. Every week. It's risky and it might not work but it's worth a try. Our bodies are in a constant state of trying to achieve homeostasis. Sometimes they need a little shake up! Let me know what happens!!!

Thanks for the comment Kim. I'll try my best to tell you what an average day looks like for me, but I'm a RN and work nights so sometimes the average day isn't average at ALL! First off I'm in loss and then maintenance mode (some days I want to lose some days I want to maintain, right now I've been losing) I work out 6 days. I just started doing Jillians 30 day shred as a challenge with Rachel but that's new for this month before that I did the elliptical or running 4 days (I've been working with some injuries), weights (for 20-30 min) 2 days and yoga daily anywhere from 20-60 or more min.

Breakfast : I rotate between three... either multi grain cheerios with a banana, and whole wheat english muffin with PB and some fruit or egg beaters with cheese and while wheat english muffin with earth balance (if I need the protein) usually 4 ish pts sometimes I'll do a glass of chocolate milk (NF with sugar free choc syrup) but I never add it into my points (I'm bad that way)

Lunch varies: I eat a lot of turkey, usually string cheese or a laughing cow It usually around 5-7 pts. on WW. Always a fruit

Dinner: whatever I'm cooking for the family. It's usually about 10 points on WW. Spaghetti, Salmon once a week at least, turkey burgers, chicken of some kind, BBQ hot dogs maybe (but I eat the hebrew national 97% FF ones). Typically 2 servings of veggies with dinner. Usually a salad and something else. I try to eat really clean. I don't eat a lot of meat but I do love my dairy. 6 or more fruits and veggies a day and I don't deny myself a splurge (last night I had ihop pancakes for dinner!).

Snacks always include fruits, yogurt, cottage cheese, pretzels when I feel like I need some salt, almonds basically daily.

I eat dessert of some kind everyday. Breyers FF ice cream. WW ice cream, Skinny cow. Something like that

LOL I'm writing a novel. Essentially I try to balance the protein and carbs like a runner would. I eat about 26 points in loss mode (4 AP's a day) and 35 maybe for maintenance. Kind of a lot I think. I'm just really starting to try to not calculate everything but eat more intuitively. I probably eat out too much but I workout to burn it off!

I see your progress you're doing AWESOME!! Way to go! I have that little Nike+ girl on my other blog too. She's cute :)
