500 minutes & a new challenge!

I'm at the halfway mark for the exercise challenge I'm doing with my mom. Only 500 more minutes to go and we are getting manicures and pedicures. :) I'm feeling really good about exercising regularly and keeping track of minutes is really motivating for me to see how far I've come already! I can exercise longer and am less worn out from it, so that is good -- time to pump up the resistance I think. Elliptical

I thought about joining the gym (again), but I knew it wasn't "working" for me anymore. The last few months I've paid for have been a waste because I only used the gym a few times.

So, I decided to surf craigslist for a used elliptical. And I found a really good deal on a pretty sturdy one. My mom and I are doing a challenge of who can reach 1000 minutes of exercise first, so that has been motivating for me. I'm at 240 minutes so far!

Wow, it's been 5 months.

I find myself thinking, "well, at least I haven't gained any weight since February!", but I'm not happy with that either. I'm going for a bike ride.......and thinking about my priorities/goals.


update: I biked......I sweated.....I rehydrated....and I feel awesome!!

Not sure....

I haven't posted in a while. I'm not really sure how I'm progressing. I'm starting to think I need to weigh in weekly just for the accountability. Monday will be the day I weigh in. So that means for the next four days...water, veggies/fruit, and no soda are my goals.

I'm trying really hard to find a balance where I am getting healthy without being obsessed about it, because I know if I do that it will only be temporary. Attempting one goal at a time has sort of been working. I really am eating… Continue
