Hey girls! I just wanted to let you know that I'm reading all the posts and cheering you on from here...I'm taking a break from writing/blogging for awhile, but I still want to know how everything's going for all of you:)!
Tricia--my granola bar re…
Sigh, I just wrote a big long post and it got deleted b/c my hand hit the laptop cursor and moved to another page:( I'm too lazy to re-write it all so here's the abbrev. version:)
Tricia-that is crazy! Definite starvation mode amount of calories! I…
Hey girls:) Just checking in while I'm on vacay:) I've managed to do 30 DS once, and am planning on twice more before I leave. I'm also going to go swimming with my sister (who was a competitive swimmer for years) a couple of times to get a good car…
Yep, I'll be on the computer:) I'm going to commit to checking in...maybe that will help me stay on track:) Tiffany, I would totally recommend the 30 Day Shred! I'm absolutely loving it! And I'm not a huge fan of Jillian either. I stopped doing it e…
Emily Rose, Harper is BEAUTIFUL!!!:) I loved reading your birth story! I'm all about natural labour too, but oh my word girl, you made it a long time with those crazy contractions before you got an epidural! There is no shame in doing what is best f…

I haven't heard of the cookies either, but they must be good:) I would be in big trouble if one of my favourite treats landed (in massive amounts!) on my doorstep! Very sweet that he sent one of your favourites t…

Hi everyone!
Welcome Emily Rose! I can't believe you're here already---did you have your baby in May? I think I remember a May due date but I'm not sure...wow, time flies! Congratulations!
I have nothing good to say about my new approach...well, r…
No pressure Tiffany:) Thanks again Jen, it'll be fun for so many of us to be doing the same video!
Christine, that really is amazing that you don't like sweets during pregnancy. Even when I was at my sickest, all I could stomach was junk--protein,…
30DS done for today! I moved up to level 2 today, and I loved it! I thought it would be too much for me, but I just wasn't loving level 1, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did, it was very challenging for me, but I completed it with no…
I think Say Yes to the Dress is one of my all time favourites:) We're debating about disconnecting cable for the summer (we usually do every year) but for some reason I'm having a hard time with it this year! We usually disconnect it in May----hmmm.…
Thanks for all of the encouragement girls---Day 1 of 30DS is done! My plan/goal is to do it in the morning, b/c I can totally feel a difference of how I am going to eat today. Exercise first thing is my best defense for junk food:) Francie, I'd love…
All right Tricia--I'll look into a sleep getaway for us:p You're right though, we'd probably be gone until Sept.:)
I am SO SO MAD at myself right now!!! I stepped on the scale this morning---I'm up 5 pounds. What is wrong with me?!?!? I have gone o…
I'm a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful children, and a home daycare provider. I've been obsessed with weight my entire life, I've mostly been thin, but it's been a struggle in my head. After getting married almost five years ago, it all caught up to me and I gained a lot of weight. I started my weight loss journey almost two years ago after the birth of my daughter, and I'm still going, working on not only losing weight, but changing life-long habits and making my entire self and household healthier! I just had my son in December 2009, and although my goal was to not gain much weight, I really struggled, and am now at my highest weight ever. My plan is to spend this year focused on bettering myself, and making changes that will keep the weight off for GOOD!:)
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers
Workout Philosophy:
I'm a gym rat ALL the way, I love lifting weights

You should be fine, especially if you stay active during the pregnancy. You'll have to talk to your doctor, but he probably won't ok training until you are 6 weeks postpartum, but that should still give you enough time to build back up. When I did my half-marathon, I followed a 10 week training plan and hadn't run more than a 5k before that.
I can't believe it. I've only done it once. I just can't stay motivated. And I mean, the one time I've done it was fun, but I just can't seem to stay motivated. My friend keeps chickening out on me when I ask her to do it with me. I need some motivation and support.
Hey Lauren,
I am expecting Turbo Jam to be here on Saturday! I'm so excited!! I seriously can't wait. :D Maybe you and I can start around the same time and keep each other motivated.
