I don't post on Blog to Lose very often but today is a day to celebrate...even if it's something small. I ran 3kms this week for the first time in 3 yrs and for someone over 100kgs thats pretty good. I haven't run much since having my second child...

Profile Information

About Me:
I'm a 25 year old recent law school grad. I'm studying for the bar this summer and going to lose this weight once and for all!

I've always been overweight. I hit my highest weight in college at 200 pounds, and before law school I started working out more and lost twenty pounds. I started running and lost another 10. However, the stress of finals over the past three years and the excess drinking have served to halt my weight loss and even add some back on. I've kept exercise a part of my routine, but need to get my eating on track!

So, I joined Weight Watchers after graduation and I'm committed to losing 30 pounds. I want to be a normal weight for once in my life!!
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers
Workout Philosophy:
I stay active doing everyday activities, I only exercise because I have to

Here's the damage (Part 2)

I worked out. And, to be honest, I almost didn't make it to the gym... but then I logged into BTL and saw all the encouraging comments from everyone, and, I couldn't help but get my butt on the treadmill. So, THANK YOU--I wouldn't have done it without y'all!

Here's the damage

So, I finally weighed in after the really bad, no good, super unhealthy weekend... up 3 lbs. Yikes.

There goes that "surprise loss" from last week. But I'm not going to be down about it. I'm going to own it and move on... AND, most importantly try to remember how I feel this week next time I'm faced with not-so-healthy options. As good as the whole helping tastes, and even that second helping, it's really not worth derailing like this.

I'm scared.

I'm terrified to weigh in tomorrow. I was horrible this weekend... well, more than just the weekend. Since Wednesday, I've been totally off. And this weekend at the lake, I ate terribly. I don't see why I allow myself to be so bad. It just sets me back so much... and after I had finally made some headway last week, this is just really disappointing.

Surprise, Loss!

Had a tremendous surprise on the scale this morning! Down 2.5 from yesterday! What?! Well, that's just the best kind of surprise!

I typically WI on Mondays, and did yesterday, but didn't record it because I had eaten a lot of salt and hadn't had enough water Sunday. So, I planned on WI today and recording it as my official WI for this week. I wanted it to be a more accurate reflection, but really wasn't expecting to be significantly lower. Monday?

It doesn't feel like a Monday to me at all. You see, I had class all weeked--so, i'm going on my ninth day of class in a row tomorrow. And, yesterday we took a practice multiple choice exam, which basically simulated the multiple choice section of the bar exam. Yea, it blew. And today, we spent 8 hours going over it.... and guess what! Get to do another 8 hours tomorrow!! It's pretty mind numbing.

I stayed OP yesterday too, and I've been following the suggestions in here to brush my teeth right after dinner to try to avoid snacking in the evening while I watch TV...so far it's working out well!! Good Luck today!!

I just read your most recent post and see that you've switched off the comments on that one...at any rate, I wanted to say that I understand that whole mind game thing we play with ourselves when we aren't OP. You can do this, hang in there and tough it out. It WILL be worth it, and your jeans won't STAY tight. I've been there...you can get that newbie excitement back, you just need to want it! And if it helps, I think you look great NOW!

I'm with you all the way...so far I am OP all week, and plan to stay thay way. I have a 20 lbs by the end of summer goal I want to meet. I am 2 lbs into that but need to ramp it up with my workouts and my diet!! I'm a nibbler so it's tough sometimes. Little bites here and there add up!

Hi Lizzie! Welcome :)

During graduate school I taught writing at a law school. I know how hard you're working on studying for the bar! I found when writing my dissertation that steady work and a pretty strict schedule really helped me. Keep your chin up and stay focused!! :)
