YOU ROCK! I SO wished I would have taken measurements when I had started! If nothing else I should do it now, since I still have a ways to go! Thanks for the motivation!

That is fantastic that you have gotten 300 miles in already... Congrats!! I hope the weather holds out as well even though I do want it to rain for my poor grass and garden. Got to love the midwest!!

You make me laugh. Great job on hitting over 300 miles, that is AWESOME! Sorry to hear you are feeling bloated and yucky-I hate days like that. The weather is still pretty nice, so hopefully you can get out and do that walk-treadmill walking sucks :)

Hi Robyn - it's funny that you mentioned that I would know how you feel every 6 months now because as I sat there I thought of all of you who do this and have done this - and how much more scary it has to be after actually having a diagnosis of cancer. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks and months until your appointment hoping that you too will be celebrating a clean bill of health. Thanks again for your support - it means so much to me.

For my potato salad, I use red potatoes, fat free plain yogurt, 2 tbsp of Miracle Whip (full fat, can't stand the light stuff), onion (red or white) and some egg whites, fresh basil a dash of lemon juice. It's really good and about 3-4 points per serving. The trifle is a recipe I found online and just modified and used all fat free stuff, here's the link... http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Three-Berry-Lemon-Trifle/Detail.aspx

Thanks for the nice comment and Happy 4th! :)

About Me:

Photobucket Hi! My name is Robyn and I am 44 years old. I am married (almost 19 years) and have two beautiful kids! A 16 year old daughter and a 14 year old son!

I've battled my weight all of my life and have made a decision that THIS is the year that all changes. Mostly because I want to be HEALTHY! In August of 2007 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and underwent a unilateral mastectomy of my left breast. I also had reconstruction surgery at the same time. I am happy to report that I am hereby cancer-free!

I had a TRAM free-flap procedure where my Doctor created my new breast out of my tummy tissue! Believe me, he had plenty of that work with! The added benefit of a tummy tuck was nice...but now its time to get the REST of my body into shape.

I've never been a "small" girl! In fact, I think I when I was younger I went from 99 to 160 lbs. overnight? lol I don't remember ever weighing less than 160 even when I was in high school!

As far as diets go.....you name it, I've done it. I've been a Weight Watcher member at least 4 times. I've tried Atkins, Nutrisystem, Slimfast...etc. I also did Phen Phen back in the early 90's for about 3-4 months. I lost 34 lbs (down to 157) and was completely happy at that weight. I also maintained it for almost 3 years. Then when I switched to a desk job...the weight slowly crept back on. Now..after years and years of yo-yo dieting I've reached my all-time high! A couple weeks ago I was at 203.5....but this morning I weighed in at 198.

This picture below was taken in April of 2005...when I was probably at my lowest in many years! (173 lbs.) At the time I thought I was WAY fat...but looking back now, I really wasn't that bad! Look how much thinner my cheeks are! Sheesh!
