2 + 2 = 5K

So I've got 2 weeks until the Austin Race for the Cure. I've got 2 more weeks of training workouts.

I will run my first 5k next week with my sister. We're doing the Luth-A-Run at our College Homecoming.

Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation visited Hannah's school last week and taught the children about type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as nutritional eating habits and exercise. Hannah was challenged to help by fundraising with the Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes.

My Body is a Temple

Reflections from 5 years ago:

I am God's creation. I am His child.

I want to glorify Him in all I do. That's why I am determined to use my weight loss to inspire others. My body is a temple from the Lord. I did not lose the weight the first time because of how others saw me. I was very unhappy with myself. And my being unhappy with myself caused my relationship with Him to suffer. So I turned to the Lord and asked for His guidance, and then I joined Weight Watchers.

Keep Running. . . . keep running. . just keep running

I started the program at the beginning of July. My first runs were with my sister - 60 seconds running, 90 seconds walking. I continued the running even when I went on vacation to Jacksonville, but after that, I didn't run for several weeks, soooo I started over this week. You don't have to buy the Nike shoes sweetie. They (not Nike) sell shoe chip holders in fabric and plastic. I run with asics with the shoe chip attached with a plastic holder clipped to my laces - 10 dollars, canadian. I bought mine at the Running Room. Check out your local running store, I am sure that something will be available!

You can do it! I started running with that program and I just signed up for my first half marathon 5 minutes ago. You should look into getting a Nike+

I love mine, and it keeps me running!

Thanks for in info on the WII. I just might have to convince hubby now. I can maybe get rid of that gym membership that I NEVER use. I think with the kids and all the WII fit might be what I need. Im so confused about the diet soda. I just need to stay away from it. Dang.

Oh yeah, I get it too...even people I originally started this healthy course with in January are now calling me obsessive. It's amazing, when I talked about food all the time or when we were going out to the bars again or how much alcohol we drank over the weekend, none of that was obsessive... :)
