I am tired of feeling frumpy, bloated, overweight, uncomfortable.

I still have not gained any weight but maybe 2 lbs during my whole pregnancy, weighing in around 215 lbs every week at dr office. I feel like my face looks a little swollen and my feet swell some but all in all I am feeling good. I am ready to be able to bend and move again. There are so many things about being pregnant that no one tells y… Continue

I still haven't gained any weight, the vomiting has slowed down quite a bit thankfully. I am so ready to get on track after the baby is born! Henry is 9 months... this pregnancy was not planned, but not really a surprise--if you know what I mean... with a somewhat new baby in the house, we barely have any mojo... craziness... we were starting to discuss whether to have a second and when, so I guess the decision was made for us!! :~)

see you in the Healthy Pregnancy group!

Hi Sarah! I am pregnant again?! About 7 weeks--I go next week for the confirmation sonogram. I plan to rejoin the pregnancy group. Maybe we can chat more often through that group? Hope all is well!

Any baby bump yet? I don't think I started showing till like 24 weeks or so with my first. Now with Asher, I looked pregnant at 10 weeks, but they say you start showing way earlier with your 2nd, 3rd, and so on. You'll have to post bump pictures when you have one. :)

I am pretty sure that I have uttered the words with every single pregnancy (this is my fourth) that I will not do this again! I can't handle it! It's too horrible to be this sick for so long. And yet, over time, you tend to forget. And that little baby you get when all is said and done is sooo worth the months of being so sick you couldn't stand up. I told my doc a couple days ago that I just don't remember being this sick, and he laughed. He said he thinks God made women to be able to forget all the horrible parts of pregnancy so that they will still have babies! It made me laugh. Why else would I be willing to do this, again?
I'm glad the Zofran is working for you. It was a huge lifesaver for me during my last pregnancy. Are you having an ultrasound on the 25th? Or is it just an appointment where they use the doppler at the office? Either way, there's nothing like hearing your baby's heart beat for the first time. So enjoy!

Hey Sarah! Congrats on the baby! I just saw your post about morning sickness, and I can totally relate. I hit 6 weeks on Christmas Eve, and it's been nonstop nausea ever since. I'm not throwing up either, just feel like I am going to all the time. My doctor prescribed Zofran for me (it's an anti-nausea medication), which helps. Try taking ginger capsules too, they can help if you don't like the actual taste of ginger (it's too strong for me, so I take capsules three times a day). I also recommend eating smaller amounts more often throughout the day. Don't let your stomach get too empty because that can cause you to feel worse. One thing I learned yesterday is to really eat what you crave. Your body supposedly won't throw up what it's craving, so really try and tune in to what actually sounds good (easier said than done right now, I know!) Good luck, and it sounds like our pregnancies are pretty close, I'm due August 18th. When are you due?

Hey! Just saw your comment in your blog. I'm in Minneapolis, MN. Not a ton of bases in this area, but now I work more with DoD contractors and state agencies (still male dominated, steel toed boot areas). Used to fly back and forth to Virginia and was on bases ALL the time. I know nothing about the military (well, I know little now) but being in such a male dominated field sure makes life interesting.

Hey Sarah! I do not eat the recommended amount on livestrong. I set my own calorie goals each week. For my current situation, I should be aiming for about 1,750 calories a day (calculated by a registered dietician) to lose about 1-2 pounds a week based on my activity level. However, I have always given myself a bit more than that because the one week I did stick below 1,750 I lost 3.5 pounds...too much. It can be a bit of trial and error, but livestrong's calorie estimate is usually a smidge low for me at the "lightly active level" and too high at the "moderately active" level. I feel very fortunate to have had relatively consistent losses. Yep, I have worked out throughout the journey. I definitely started small and built up. There have probably been one week stints here and there (maybe 3 weeks total) where I took a break from working out. Sometimes it was on purpose and other times it was just because of people in town for work, house guests, lots of social gatherings, etc. After those weeks off I would start small again and work my way back up. Hope this helps!
