Wait, aren't you moving??? You are talking abotu the new place, I guess.
Henry has a nursery (it is light green), but we ended up co-sleeping with him and putting his crib in our room so we only use it to store his clothes and change him... and a room downstairs turned into a nursery so that I did not have to go upstairs during the day when I was on maternity leave. Too funny. Once he gets a little older and shows us more of his personality we may further decorate his room (and fully move him in there). Just want to wait to see if he likes animals, sports, things with wheels, etc.
I told my boss today--it was awkward (she does not have kids!), but feels great to have it over with...
hope all is well!
We were dealing with colds/ear infections, stomach flu, and then Jim's grandma died (she was 93 and we expected it). But, all is well now. We had 75 degree weather this weekend. Made me so happy! We were outside a ton yesterday. Henry seemed to really like it.
I have been reading a couple of intuitive eating-like books, and lots of light bulbs are coming on. (When Food is Love and Nice Girls Finish Fat) Trying to work on my emotional eating instead of "dieting"--I think things are clicking, sort of. Lately I am noticing that I intentionally ignore my physical cues (thirst, hunger)--not sure why I do that?! I can't make myself break away from my desk, etc. to take care of my physical needs.
Anyway, I hear ya about teaching. I was a professor before my current job and during the school year, I could never find a good balance. It was SO hard. Felt like I would give and give, and by the time I had a moment to take care of my needs, I was depleted! Do you feel the same way?
All is well over here. Henry is a cutie!! Starting to be lots of fun. He is sitting on his own and eating some solid food. Playing lots, etc. oh, and sleeping through the night!!
