My first 2 mi run with HILLS!!!!!

Hello all, this past weekend on Sunday the 16th of Nov/08 I was up north WI on a family vacation. 3 big moments: 1 I BROUGHT MY WORKOUT CLOTHES... and 2 I did a run in the country where there was a very long incline.. like a 1/2 mile incline. 3 It was 30 degrees with snowflakes! My first run on a family vacation, first huge hill, and somehow made myself get out there in the cold.

Hello,
I had some exciting news I wanted to mention. I just ran my first 3.2 miles last night. I had only been doing 2.1 for a few months (and that is not easy for me) then once I did 2.4... But last night I said to myself that I will run to the 1/2 way mark of 3.0 miles (I run back the same way) and if I could not do it I would just walk when I needed to. So I went the 1.5 and turned back and DID IT ALL. I went to check the actual miles and it was 3.2 !!! YES!

My HUSBAND ***UGH!! sigh***

So I will start with the fact I love my husband dearly. However, yesterday he asked me if he could take my BAG OF CORN FEED from our room to go deer hunting with today.... soooo backtrack. I had started my new life, well at least with food, on March 1, 2008. The only need I had from him, is to not get mad when I do not eat what he makes, or eat where you go etc or for him to get mad at what I eat or don't eat. So then when I lost the 25lb, I bought a 25lb bag of flour and I would lift it often.… Continue

I love your idea of doing the 50 pound bag, and i cant believe the husband wanted it. I am actually from door county but am going to school in the UP of Michigan, so we are very close together! Cant wait to see your current picture you have come a LONG way...way to go!

Thank you for your reply - you have such a great outlook on the process!

I completely agree that it is up to me, and only I can control if I lose weight or not. Or be healthy or not, for that matter.

Thank you for your response, I really understand and agree with the thought that yesterday was easy, today is hard, and I love that you put it that way - totally makes sense!

I am really cheap too, but have found that I have wasted so much money on diet books, videos, etc. looking for something that will work. I am getting to the point of enough is enough! I just need to do it, already!!!

This community is great to blog within - I have been doing it on and off for awhile, just whenever I have a chance. I know some people can update their page everyday, but I just don't have the time. I really like the option of shooting people a comment to ask a question or ask for a tip, though! It is a great site to just explore too, cruise around and read different people's pages - there are some good tips out there!

Hi Suzzan,

I recently read a comment you posted about goals for weight-loss on Roni's blog. Your comment was so inspiring to me! I love your ideas of lifting the actual weight you have lost, and the "goal pants" from goodwill! I am going to try both of those ideas, and know that will help me!

I am curious if you followed the weight watchers plan for your loss, or if you just ate "healthier", etc. If you are willing to share, I would love to know more of your "secrets"!
