7 lbs in a month & new recipe

I wish that I was reporting that I lost 7lbs in a month. Sadly that isn't the case. On July 2 my weight was 175. Yesterday it was 182. I weighed in every week, but yesterday seeing that 7lbs really shook me up. 1 to 2 lbs doesn't seem so bad. But when it happens weekly it really starts to add up. Now I can see how easily it is to regain everything I've lost. And that isn't a road I want to go down. So yeah basically my eating has been crap lately. Combined with no exercise and youContinue

Swimsuit Shopping

Yesterday the dreaded day came--time to get a new swimsuit for the summer. Usually I can get away with not having to wear one at all all summer. We rarely go out. This year not so much. We are going to hubby's uncle's sometime in August where there will be a pool. Having 2 kids who adore the water, I can't avoid getting into a suit and getting in the water.

The day was already stressful enough. Both of the kids were acting up. I absolutely had to try a suit (or 5) on before buying one.… Continue

Dinner over ice cream

I just had to post to give myself a NSV pat on the back.

Lately I've been one day on, 1 or 2 days off with little to no exercise. This week is following that same pattern. Yesterday I was sick so didn't eat much. This morning I woke up and my mind was telling me that it needed to be an on day. I grabbed about 4 or 5 pretzels and started having 2nd thoughts about just waiting until WI day on Friday. Then I decided to go and weigh myself as if that number on the scale was going to give m… Continue

Hi Tracie. Thanks for the encouragement. I keep reminding myself that it will be a few rough caregiving years for us, but like you said, later it might be easier because they are closer in age. craziness. I am still calorie counting, but since I have some morning sickness--having trouble getting enough. Gotta love the first trimester! Hope all is well with you!

Oooo yeah! I will be making those later. I'll have to use 'red cap' milk. Thats all I have and Man Cub and his Daddy drink. I don't do milk enough to keep unleaded on hand. I think the trick with a cream cheese would be to make it taste like a cheesecake filling. Vanilla-y and sweet. Although a savory would not be bad...

I wanted to nurse exclusively SO BAD... only made it to 3 months doing a mix of formula and nursing... my milk supply never fully came in--was only getting, at most, an ounce?! Went to three lactation counselors and took some supplements... major bummer. So, now Henry just gets the formula, and some cereal.

Your banana bread looks delicious. I have also used applesauce in place of butter in recipes and it is wonderful. There can be some really good choices when eating out. Always look for the best choices. I often chose asian food or mexican as they ca…

Hi Christine! Congrats. My 2 are spaced far apart so I don't have any advice on close spaced kids. My sister and I were 18 months (and 21 days to be exact) apart. Her 2 are 19 months apart. I'm sure it will be crazy at first, but when they are older…

I've never done the Master Cleanse and hadn't even really known the details until I clicked on the link. I'd be a bit worried doing it. Our bodies need food and the nutrition from it. Sure you may lose weight while doing it and even a large amount.…
