Weigh Ins
I post my weigh ins on my blog at http://mommymeanderings.com/weigh-ins

Me & Weight
I've always had self image issues. In high school I was around 125lbs and a size 7-9. Then I thought I was fat. In college I think I gained the "freshman 15" x 2. When I met my husband in my junior year I was a size 11 and around 140-150 lbs. I guess living off of Mt. Dew and Snickers for 3 years will do that to you. I got married at age 22 in 1998. My wedding dress was a size 14. And it took some magic altering to make it fit. I have no idea what my weight was because I wasn't following it at the time. I honestly don't even remember if we had a scale or not. 4 years later after the birth of my son I was around 200 lbs. I can't even blame that on baby weight because I actually managed to maintain or lose weight during my pregnancy. A year after he was born I started WW for the first time at 209 lbs. I followed it for about 7 months. I hit a plateau at 175 lbs. After about a month or so I gave up. See where this is going? I bet you can guess what happened. In 2006 we decided it was time to add to our family. After a year of fertility issues I tried WW again in May 2007 this time weighing my highest ever 226 lbs. After 8 weeks I lost 15 lbs and found out I was pregnant. I truly believe the weight loss is what did it. After my daughter was born, I weighed 210. Again not really gaining much during the pregnancy, and all of it was taken off as soon as she was born. I briefly tried WW again in Oct. 2008, but had to take a break due to gallbladder issues. So now I'm starting again. My daughter will be a year old in a week. I'm at 214.2 lbs. It is time to lose this weight once and for all. I'm past the pregnancy & ttc part of my life. It is now to move onto the new and fit part.

Week still going well

This morning I did another mid-week weight check. 187.2! Exactly 4 lbs down from my weigh in on Sunday. I'm really. really hoping that number or close to it sticks for the week. That will almost eliminate the past 2 weeks of binges. I gained 3 weeks in a row but only 2 of them I wasn't OP. And to think that it is TOM and I never do well.

So with that number today I have definitely decided that the pizza and even the hoagie are both a no go for me this weekend. The pizza was a definite no last n… Continue

Midweek Check In

This morning I got on the scale with my clothes on and was greeted with 189.0. That is down 2.2 (more if you count the clothes) for the week so far. I'm really, really surprised. Happy, but still surprised. It is TOM and I never lose weight during this time. Hopefully it will keep going into Sunday.

I've had a pretty good week so far. Yesterday I did slip a bit and used 10 flex points. I had Ritz crackers AND a package of cheese crackers for my daughter sitting in front of me. I ate 5 out ot th… Continue

The last 2 weeks

I've veered completely off plan the past 2 weeks. Both weeks I started out doing good. Then mid way things sort of fell apart. The end result, this week I weighed in at 191.2.

This week I'm vowing to stay completely on plan for the whole week. The past 2 days have been great. I've stuck to my points. I've even chosen healthy food options. I'm going to try to stick to mostly fruit & veggies for snacks all week. It is TOM which always means I retain water so I'm not expecting to see a loss or… Continue

Great job on the weight loss!! Good plan for the weekend! Sounds like you will be busy for the next two days, hopefully that will get you some good activity points!!
I think weighing daily depends on the person. If you get discouraged seeing an increase at all and if it would derail you then you are better off weighing once a week. But if you understand that weight fluctuates day to day then it can definitely ...

Seems like you are really good at balancing foods you want and foods you don't want to waste your points on. Good job- keep at it!
It sounds like you have a good plan.
