About Me:
Hi, I am Maret from Maine and I am 56 for now...lol...I need to loose weight badly and right now i'm floundering. I need support and I have found the strengh to continue on no matter what it takes. I will loose this weight for good.

A New Beginning:)

Well today is a new beginning for me. I am a lifer with Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers works and i know it does because in 1980 I lost 132 lbs. on it to reach my goal. Looking back it was funny but at the time it was not. The Childrens Wish Foundation had sent my daughter Bambi and the family to Walt Disney World in Florida. It was fantastic but i was so heavy that i was constantly hot and uncomfortable. I hated the way i looked and when we got home it was confirmed to me. You see we live in a small town and we were big news coming home so the local tv station videoed us coming home off the plane. Well let me tell you after so many hours of rideing with 4 kids you don't look your best getting off the plane...lol...i saw the video and in fact taped the news and oh my gosh i looked so horrible. 232 lbs of blob, yuck. The very next day I joined my local Weight Watchers group and this was in October. In exactly one year the following October i had lost 132 of those extra lbs. Well life has a way of happening and i regained most of the weight back:( Although i kept going to the meeting i did not have the stick too that i needed.

So i have gotten all the necessary things i need to follow my Weight Watchers program and am ready to go for the gold...lol

I have also joined the local college gym and am taking water aerobics twice a week starting on Tuesday. I am so excited.
I am starting at 209 this time and will lose the excess!!

My New Beginning:) Again....lol

Good Morning:)
Well today is a new beginning for me again...lol...This time I am going to do it, I am determined. I have done it before so I know the program works. It is just a matter of getting my head in the game. This morning I am going to journal everything I eat and I am starting my water aerobics class as the college. You probably already know this, but just in case, make sure you wear some kind of water shoe for your water aerobics class. The pool bottom will wear your tender footsies right off. It's nice to meet you! I look forward to sharing our journey to well-being! Have fun tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how you like it!

Hi Maret. Congrats on rejoining WW! I did so recently myself. I love the program and know it is the best, safest and healthiest way to lose weight. But, dang it all....it does take motivation...and that's why we're here! We can all help each other.
You'll love water aerobics. It's so refreshing and non-stressing. Almost doesn't feel like exercise! Only, I know it is, because I break out in a sweat when I go! LOL Oh excuse me, that should say, "I perspire...." that sounds much better. ;)

You have submitted some good recipes and I cannot wait to try the cake. I usually do not experiment and eat regular food, it is hard when I have to cook for my husband and he loves fried foods. I try to eat a lot of vegetables and not much meat. I go to the meetings and weigh in on Wednesday’s.

Thanks, but most of those pictures are me at my lowest weight. I'm about 45 pounds heavier right now, trying to get back there.
