update, thoughts on maintenance

well it's been a while ... i've been tracking on my iphone, and emotionally, maintaining has been easier than i thought for the most part. the diet & exercise piece seems somewhat like a habit to me most days. the one-year anniversary of me reaching goal is coming up, which reminds me how far i've come. the semester is also coming up, and i have some new responsibilities at school, and i worry that when things get crazybusy i'll forget how to count points or something.

the numbers game

so, this week, on ww, i went over my weekly AP by 60.

that's kind of a lot! ~3000 calories, which translates to almost a lb. i calculated, naturally.

i sit here analyzing and reanalyzing the numbers. my iphone app really helps with my tracking, but it makes me crazy. just by taking a 17 minute walk i can earn a point to eat something else. this insanity must stop.

nsv, or more like scale-independent v.

so, i ordered these jeans in the mail. they are a size smaller than the jeans i currently wear which are stretched out from wearing multiple pairs of leggings underneath it in the cold.

my new jeans are a size too small. ordinarily, I'd try to break them in, and probably could after a while (until i'd have to wash them again, at which point i'd have to break them in again), but when it comes down to it, the number on my jeans doesn't really matter as long as they fit, right? so i'm go… Continue

thursday

brunch oats - 9

apple, chopped and topped with cinnamon and 3/4c frozen berries, thawed, topped with 1/2c oats (cooked in unsweetened choc almond milk) and 1.5 T almond butter. yum! (and needs no addded sugar which is a plus). doesn't keep me full very long tho - next time w/protein powder perhaps?

snowed in tracking! (friday)

it's been a little while since i last updated... i started tracking on my iphone (the iwatchr app i wrote about previously) so i haven't been posting, though i've been reading.

i'm not really sure if iwatchr (the app) is helping me. it's pretty easy to feel defeated after my points start making it into the 40s. i suppose that's a good thing, the heightened awareness and all. numbers can get to me, though. all in all, i'm still doing well with the plan, some days are just more of a challenge than others. tracked today on the iwatchr app on my iphone. ~37 points (incl 3 APs for running). while i do like the discreet-ness of the iphone tracking, i feel like it's way too numbers driven, which stresses me out. i don't like that it displays the points from the entire week, so if i had a bad day i see it for 6 other days on the recent history. so i'm trying to figure out a way to use BtL easily on the iphone.
