Exercise: Walked 1.5 miles in 36 mins this morning (~2.5 mi/hr).
Food:
Breakfast - kashi puffs with 1 c soy milk
Morning snack - peach, activia yogurt
Lunch - leftover squash saute, soft polenta (from work cafe), broccoli, 8 oz milk
Afternoon snack - banana nut gnu bar, 12 oz milk
Dinner - 1 burrito (large flour tortilla, black beans, lettuce, cheddar veggie shreds, ff greek yogurt in place of sour cream), green beans
Fruit servings: 1 (peach)
Vegetable servings: 4 (squash, broccoli, green beans [2 servings])
I didn't have time this morning to throw together a salad (or anything, really) for my afternoon snack. I planned on buying a little salad from the work cafe but just lost track of time. I ended up having a gnu bar from my stash before hurrying to a meeting. Then when I was heading to the train station (I usually have my snack when I hop on the train for my commute home) I was absolutely STARVING. Unfortunately, all the shop at the train station has is cookies, candy, chips. They do have sandwiches, but the only thing that contained vegetables was coleslaw and I'm not into that. So instead I bought some milk and had that - it ended up tiding me over until dinner. I'm glad I was able to resist all the junk food!
