Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I weighed in on Thursday & had lost 0.4 lbs. So, looking at my progress, I noticed that I have a really good week followed by a really tiny loss week. I don't know why that would be the case but the WW woman who took my weight said that she followed the same pattern all the way to her goal.

I'm having a birthday dinner tonight and will try to eat a lot of salad and drink a lot of water but there will be cake and I'm going to have some. Actually, I have been looking forward to it since I woke up this morning!!!

Oh...I made the hungry girl yum yum chocolate muffin recipe the other day. You use pumpkin puree instead of eggs and oil. They weren't bad at all! Even my kids liked them.

This weight loss thing isn't really too hard once you set your mind to it.

But I'm a wee bit discouraged that even though I have lost 8.4 lbs now, not one person has commented on it. I wouldn't mind some positive feedback. it's not like I don't see tons of people at work everyday...and a lot of them know I've joined weight watchers. Oh well, maybe it's just not noticeable yet.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend! :)

OH how could I forget? I joined "Librarians Run for a Cure" and will run 5 km on Oct 5th! I haven't been running in ages so it will be a challenge!

ditto the previous comments. It's a tricky situation and most people will wait until it's significantly noticeable, say 20 pounds, before commenting on it.

Yeah, people are paranoid about giving compliments. Don't stress. Also, for people who see you everyday, the change is probably very gradual, so they may not know how much you've changed.

Way to go on the loss! Don't get too down about the lack of comments. It's always a touchy situation. Sometimes people just don't know how to give compliments without worrying that they will offend by implying that you didn't look good before. I know my husband still struggles with this sometimes. At times he feels like if he compliments me on how I look now, that he's somehow saying he didn't like what he was seeing before.
