Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

This morning was the completion of my 2nd week and I lost 1.8 lbs. I can see this is going to be a really slow process, but I have never been more positive about my efforts. I am trying to evaluate the things that I can change from last week. Even though I stayed within points everyday (even a little under on some), I am not sure if my food choices made an impact on my loss. I need to stop with those 1 point WW cakes. They really add up, 2 of them are 3 pts. I think they are just empty calories that I could be using with fruit or something. I also eat dessert every night. While I am still within points, I am not sure if those points would be better utilized during the day on my breakfast or lunch. I will try it this week and see ithe results. I have done great with my water. I'm up to at least 5 bottles a day. My goal for this week is 6. I would also like to get more activity in. I only did two 1 mile walks last week. I want to hit my goal of 4 this week. I am truly happy with my loss, it's great to see the scale go down for a change. OK, I've never really seen the scale go up because normally it is hidden so I don't have to face it! So now it's great that I want to look at what it says! Only 8.47 lbs to go to reach 5%, then I reward myself with toothpaste. Yes, that right, toothpaste. Supersmile is the greatest whitening toothpaste I have tried. I frieken love the stuff!! But it is hard to justify spending $40 on toothpaste when we have a toddler. It's amazing how your prospective changes when you have a child. Anyway, today starts week 3. Let's see how this one goes!

Try to remember, your loss is going to benefit from more activity....even if you don't go for a walk...take the stairs more, park a little farther from the mall, doctor, house, etc...all that good stuff. And I agree about the empty calories..better spent elsewhere!!

Great job! Since you're thinking about cutting out dessert and you have points left over at the end of the day, you might want to try tracking your hunger. See if there's a place in the day that you could really benefit from using those extra points (especially on filling foods). I've got to get back on track. Since we're such "twins" I've got to keep up with you! Think of what skinny, hot moms we'll be by this time next year!
