Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I haven't posted in a while so I figured I needed to update. I've been around, I just haven't had much to post about! Yesterday my daughter and I made and decorated sugar cookies. It was sooooo much fun! Here are some pictures:

Those babies were only 2 points each with the icing!!! They were from the weight watchers recipe- amazing. It made 39 so I'm trying to give a bunch away. I was telling my husband yesterday, I NEVER thought I'd be the kind of person to eat one piece of pie or one or two cookies and be satisfied. I figured I would ALWAYS struggle to stop at just one serving and never be satisfied with it- I thought everyone was like that. Well, yesterday I ate 2 cookies and had absolutely NO desire to have any more whatsoever. I can not believe it!!!! I guess that's what happens when you kick your sugar craving. Speaking of my husband, I'm so proud of him! He started weight watchers Monday and has been doing great! I'm so excited for him.

Okay I'm going to go get a donut and a diet coke. I need to try to save most of my flex points for Thanksgiving but I've pretty much been out of flex points the last 4 days so I'm really wanting something! Plus I'm STARVING. I don't usually wake up this hungry. Now donuts are something that are still hard for me to eat just one, haha. Oh well, somehow I do. Have a great Sunday!

Are these soft? Could you share the recipe? As for donuts, how do 50 calorie donuts sound? Take buttermilk biscuits that are 50 calories a piece (I think mine was pillsbury in a red roll), dip in splenda and cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees following packaging directions. They aren't huge but they are yummy. This will add calories, but they're also good with powdered sugar. Oh I almost forgot, to make them more doughnut-y use an apple corer or something that makes a nice hole to cut out the middle of the biscuit, bake them as well and you have doughnut holes too! Enjoy!

OMGosh, what a darling picture of your daughter. :) The picture and cookies caught my eye so I read your blog. :) You are doing great! You have a beautiful family. Keep up the good work! :) I'd love the recipe for the 2 pt cookies! :) (although I'm quite sure I would never be full after 2) lol :)

Oh, those are great pictures. She is so cute! What is her name again? Okay, so my husband did WW for a bit and I was so resentful. He got like 40 points or something....8 extra points just for being male. So not fair!!! ha ha My husband isn't the type to write things down, so he didn't stick with it long, but I think he is more conscious of calories/fat/etc..by doing it for a bit. That is awesome! Tell your hubby to keep up the good work!
