Well my friends, until tonight I was a core ball virgin. I have been wanting to use one for quite some time, probably years in fact, but tonight was the night I went all the way!
I got it during the after Christmas sales for about 7 dollars. It came in a pack with a resistance band and an instructional DVD. What a steal right?! The DVD was about 20 minutes long so I ran it twice. It shows 10-12 different exercises you can use the ball for but once I become more familiar with them I will have to up the reps to get any real work done. And of course as with any instructional DVD the woman was irritating!
When my husband had a go on the core ball I used my hand weights to do some arm, shoulder and back work. I did not do cardio today, which is why I decided to break out the ball and I am so glad I did. I would love to make it part of my daily routine.
So far I am on target for this week's fitness goal of working out everyday. I have a walk with my sister planned for tomorrow morning at 9:30am also so feeling good in general with getting off the couch! Oh and one more thing...I actually did an overhaul in our home office today too. I moved furniture, shifted mountains of books and was pretty much on my feet organizing all day so hopefully that burned me a few extra calories as well!
Does anyone have any favorite core ball moves that I just have to try?
