I don't know why, but I've always felt that splitting words in half makes them seem more weighty. It's probably because I'm Southern :)
This week has been nutsos already. On Monday they dumped a huge project on us at work (calling ALL of our students and having a 5 minute phone conversation with them and then summarizing it and providing detailed comments... by the 30th!) which has everyone scrambling and pulling in extra hours. My laptop is also busted, again, so Sam has been working on that trying to get it all figured out and functioning again, plus we are getting ready for our trip to Japan in 2 weeks and trying to make flight reservations and doing research for our trip to Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand in just over a month. Whew!
I have not been eating the best because of some eating out for people's birthdays, etc. However, I feel that while I was out I made the best choices that I could possibly make (eating only 1/2 an entree and a small beer instead of the entire burger and a large Long Island Iced Tea like SOME people coughfiancecough) and didn't ever feel "stuffed" just pleasantly full. So, the scale hasn't budged much this week, but I am still down a kg (2.2lbs) from the last 2 weeks. So slow! But still trudging along just doing the best I can. I need to get my butt to the grocery store tonight, though, that's for sure!
Still working on the exercise. I think I'm going to try the whole getting up earlier thing because when I get home from working 8:30-7 I'm just too tuckered out! I have only been taking the stairs, though, which means I'm climbing about 30 flights a day (and then coming down!) between the subway, the stairs at school and in my apartment. That's GOT to count for something, right??
