Dear Men at Target,
While I appreciated all the looks you were giving me, I have to let you know I am happily married. Yes, the child that was with me was my own...I am not a Swedish Au Pair. Nor am I the cute, fun and "adventurous" aunt, but thanks for thinking those thoughts all the same. Could you tell I had lost 5.6 pounds this week? Was that it? Was my rock-star aura too much for you to miss? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to rock your particular world.
Okay, I know you weren't really looking. BUT, I just want you to know, I was feeling pretty damn good in that store tonight! And I'm still pretty damn big! I weighed in at 203.6 tonight. But that weight looks so different when you are sliding down past it, as opposed to rising to it. I felt confident about my looks in the store and that hasn't been me ever. I know in reality, I look like a 200+ pound chick, but I feel like someone who won't be there much longer!
So, Target guys...watch out. Some day, in the not-too-distant future, my longish legs are going to find their way into a pair of fairly short shorts and it's not going to be easy for you knowing you can never have a piece of this.
TTFN,
Erin
I know I won't have a week like this again potentially (because I know this was just my body catching up), so I will enjoy this week while it lasts!
Thank you to the moms with the good advice about nursing and the points that go with it, and to the people in my meeting who suggested eating some of the activity points...I think I had been starving the last three weeks. I lost .4 pounds two weeks in a row and had done 6 good workouts each week. I needed to eat more and I did. Not a lot, but enough that I didn't feel hungry this week like I had.)
I hope all of you are doing well, and those that aren't, I hope the coming days bring you strength and inspiration.
