WOW! We counted...or tried to count.the number of times Bob Harper let the F-bomb drop on last night's Biggest Loser!...I was thinking it was something like a dozen times, my husband said it was at least ten....I'll say again, WOW!!
I have to tell you, Joelle has just found herself the hands down LEAST FAVORITE person on the show this time around. If she doesn't get her act together and start giving her 100% she's gonna be gone quickly! She deserved to go home last night, but the oldest guy went home - Jerry is his name I think. The great news is that Dan got to stay, and that Jerry is down 84 pounds! Again, WOW!!
It was a great show last night. The first challenge was not a physical one, it was an offer by Allison (who delivered a healthy baby girl on Sunday), to take cash, 5K, to leave then and there....then she upped it to 10K, and finally 25K. Joelle was the only one who came close to crossing the line, and at the last second did not. I was proud of her, but Bob Harper was saying he was concerned about her coming so close.
In the physical challenge the contestants had to pedal a kayak across a body of water and then get out, pull the kayak ashore, and hike up a very steep hill. First place got immunity that week and a call home. The next three or four also got a phone call. Last place got one pound subtracted from their loss that week. If you watch the show you know that one pound is brutal for week two, a week notorious for small losses. Dan was last and got that one pound penalty.
Then during one of the workout sessions...it may have been the last chance workout, not sure...Joelle just would NOT get her a** moving. But Dan, who weighs 200 pounds more than her was RUNNING ON THE TREADMILL!!!! It inspired me to try it...but for whatever reason it didn't seem to move Joelle.
Bob screamed at her for what seemed like forever, and the others on her team had to run over and over until she finally made it 30 seconds running and not holding on. She screamed back at him once, cried, argued, but it took her several tried til she made it. And she only lost 2 pounds. Jerry lost one, Dan lost three, but lost one because of coming in last. Jerry and Dan were below the yellow line. They voted Jerry off because they all pretty much felt that if Dan went home his future was bleak....reasoning that Jerry had once been a thin man, and they knew he could make it at home...Dan on the other hand has NEVER been fit and they just wanted to give him the chance for a future, for a life. What a gift. Had Joelle been below the yellow line she MOST DEFINATELY would have been going home.
Taco night was great...and dessert was yummy....my girlfriends brought WW muffins and Jell-O 70 calorie puddings. It was a great night and we are doing it again next Tuesday at one of their homes! Can't wait!

AND HOLY MOLEY....can we say inspirational. Dan had my jaw on the ground. It seriously makes me tear up right now just thinking about how hard he pushed himself. How HE is starting to believe in himself and trusting the process. So proud of him. I said to my husband last night "how is he doing that, I can't even do that at 244lbs". OR Can I?
Loved that you and the girls got together and everyone was supportive in what they brought. I certainly wish that the gatherings we had were more like that!
