I was off track Wednesday night (a late-night burger and fries from McD's with the Boyfriend) and Thursday (some deep-fried mac & cheese wedges, also with the Boyfriend). Noticing a theme here? Why is it so much harder for me to stay OP when I'm with him.
Friday wasn't fantastic, either, but I can't really blame Eric for that one. I didn't feel like cooking dinner when I got off work at 7:30 p.m., so I cruised the BK drive thru. I wanted onion rings (and ordered them) but when I got home with my Whopper Jr (no mayo) and o-rings, there were no rings in sight. Instead, they gave me an order of chicken nuggets. :P Why I ate them, I don't know. I should have fed them to the dogs instead.
I did bake Eric a batch of butter cookies last night, and nibbled on a couple of broken cookies. (Calories leak out of those, right?) :D But instead of going back to BK to get the onion rings I was still wanting, I fired up my George Foreman grill (at 11 p.m.) and grilled up some onion slices and zucchini, and nuked a "baked" potato with a little butter and sour cream.
I'll count that as an NSV, because I seriously considered going to get the onion rings — and didn't. Those veggies actually hit the spot. I wasn't hungry after eating them. (I did enjoy another broken butter cookie right before bed, though).
This is my weekend off, but I'm not with the Boyfriend today (Saturday). Instead, I'm alone and he's in Phoenix. Ugh. He had to meet with someone about becoming a Master tennis pro.
But I guess I should be glad, because it gave me a chance to have a great, OP day. I did a strength workout in the morning, then went grocery shopping, took myself to see "Bride Wars" and made a healthy dinner. I tried two recipes from the latest issue of Weight Watchers magazine: Easy Dijon Chicken and Confetti Couscous.
Both of them were delicious — and pretty easy to make. The hardest part was removing the skin from the drumsticks. I'd recommend trying them both. I added 1/2 tsp EVOO and some garlic sea salt to my serving of couscous.
Have any of you tried the new Baskin-Robbins
BRight Choices ice cream? I had the light raspberry chip yesterday. Yum! (And only 3 Points for a scoop, from what I can tell from the info on the Web site, which says they're
Hungry Girl approved.)
