My last post was November 24th, 2008. It feels about 10 years ago because so many things have gone on in my life. It seemed each week was filled with another drama, and another fire to put out. I have felt incredibly stressed, and have resorted to food and sleeping as coping mechanisms--all the things i used to do to help me deal with messes.
Fortunately, I was able to balance well enough through this time, and only gained 3.5 pounds over the holidays! Obviously more than I ever intended to , but in the m idst of life, and when you feel like you have gained 10 pounds, it is a relief to only have gained a third of it.
The real result is, I don't feel good about myself. My choices, wether food, exercise or life, have not been what's best for me, and that has landed me in a pretty big rut. The New Year is supposed to feel like a fresh start, and this year it seemed like just another day in the life of....
The good news is I realized on January 6 that it was my 3 year anniversary of starting the low carb diet. It really have been a lifestyle change, or a process rather, and I am proud of what I have accomplished. I hope that because it took 3 years to arrive at this point, that I will be able to maintain this loss forever.
So, hopefully, I am back more consistently now, and this will help get me back on track. I have really missed this blogging site, and appreciate so much everyone's notes. I hope you had wonderful holidays with your families!
