This has been an interesting journey. I gained absolutely NO WEIGHT while carrying my second child. It has been about two weeks since giving birth and I am still swollen. I talked to my OBGYN and she said there is nothing that I can do except be patient. The reason why my legs still look like swollen balloon pancakes is because the anesthesiologist that was used likes to use a lot ( I mean A WHOLE LOT) of fluids. Considering the fact that it took him like 25 minutes to get my epidural in, I would hate to even begin to think about how many bags of fluid I got.
Anyhoo, I decided to weigh myself this morning and I am exactly 12lbs lighter than when I found out I was pregnant. Of course, I have to weigh myself again once my water legs return to normal. I guess pregnancy was a way to jump start my weight loss ... ha ha.
Well, I am just starting to get my groove back. I am moving around more and plan on getting my weekly food menu together. I will do all this as I catch up on The Wire and 24 ... courtesy of Netflix and Tivo. I hope to get back into my blogging pattern by the end of the month.
