Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I checked in to the BTL site this weekend, but I didn't write as much as I usually do....I was too busy enjoying my weekend!! It was beautiful! My husband had a 3 day weekend and we spent it in OKC, which is weird for us. It seems that anytime we have extra time, we head down to Texas. I love my in-laws dearly, but I just wanna hang out at "home," you know??

We started the weekend Thursday night at BJ'S Brewhouse. I posted a blog about that - I ate a ton of food, but I feel okay about it. Friday night we went bar-hopping and I danced like a mad woman! Brandon and I have been married for a year and we have never gone dancing together - I was really impressed that he boogied on the dance floor. He's a dear man - he's 34 and I'm 22, so our circles of friends are different and he sometimes feels weird around my group. But he was a great sport and we had a grand old time. I was proud that I didn't allow a single drop of alcohol to pass my lips - I had consumed all of my calories the night before at BJ'S. I did burn about 400 calories dancing though!! Saturday night we continued the festivities with a different group of friends. Allow me to pause and say that we are not bar-hoppers and this was a very, very weekend for us. We didn't stay out as late and I didn't get as much dancing in, but I had tons of fun. Best of all, both Friday and Saturday nights I put on a dress and I actually felt sexy....I can definitely tell that my self-body-image is changing for the better.

I joined a new gym this weekend as well. I adore it - it's a female only gym and has a nice sauna, free tanning, and a really nice massage chair. I love being able to workout and then just hanging out and feeling like a princess. I've thoroughly enjoyed myself this weekend.

I got a long run in (about 6 miles) but my iPod crashed and I lost my data....I can not express to you how disappointed that made me!! I also did 60 minutes on the elliptical, an 800 m sprint at full speed, and a 10 minute walk tonight at 10% incline. That is all of the exercise that I squeezed in this weekend and it makes me feel good that I made time for my body and my health. I also busted my a$$ cleaning the house for 2.5 hours today - dusting, mopping, vacuuming and scrubbing things really burns the calories!!!

Overall, I'm really pleased. I'm mentally fighting some strong cravings for junk food tonight but I am trying my best to remember that junk food is just not worth it....

20 lbs to go, Elaine, only 20 lbs to go.... WW weigh-in/meeting on Tuesday. I've decided that I've found "my" leader and will try to always make it to her meetings!
