Operation Slenderize : Day One (I was supposed to post this yesterday)

Ohhhhh soreness how I love you! Last night was Amy and I's first official work-out at the gym & I am loving it already! I am killer sore today but I adore that feeling so I am okay with it. We did a 10 minute warm-up on the elliptical then four different exercises for our arms, 3 sets of 15 reps each with a five pounder (yeah, I am a wimp) After that, we did 15 more minutes on the elliptical because everything else was SO packed. Then we did flutter kicks and superman on the mat along with many lunges. Have you ever been so sore you kinda have to plop onto a chair because if you do it slowly it's too much? That's how I felt last night, it's not as bad today but my arms were feeling it this morning. I've also been eating excellent, well, the weekend wasn't so hot but I accepted it & learned from it. I've been trying to drink lots and lots of water and get those fruits and veggies in. I don't think I ever told you all but I was down 1/2 pound last week putting me right at 200, no gain from vacation and SO CLOSE!

Amy and I are also considering entering a competition at the gym. It's a weight thing. You weigh-in every Friday and if you gain you get an arrow up, if you lose you get an arrow down and if you remain the same you get a dash. At the end of the competition (6 weeks I think?) whoever has the most arrows down wins! And as of yesterday the jackpot was at $280! I sure could use that money. We're going to look more into it tonight and then decide. I am SO motivated and pumped to get this all going you have no idea! :-] Today is leg day......

Tuesday-Legs
Begin with 10 minute cardio warm-up.
Machines
Push-out machine (push legs out with weights)
While resting from above, point toes for calf workout
Hamstring curl machine
Lunges
Cardio for 20-30 minutes (HIGH INTENSITY TO WORK UPPER LEGS)

And so far I've had two low-fat waffles with 2 tbs pb and 1 tbs jelly with 8oz milk and a cup of pears for a snack! The rest of the day will be spaghetti squash and a banana right before the gym and lunch will probably be a boca vegan patty on a one pint tortilla with mustard and 8oz milk! 17 points and 10 leftover for dinner.


My legs are going to be super sore after that but I can't wait to start seeing the results! WOOHOO! :-] I hope everyone is well & don't forget to SMILE! :-]
