Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Ladies and gents -

I re-joined WW last evening and I have a question for y'all:

Right now my weight is 167. WW range for me is 124 to 155. I was hoping to set my WW goal at 150 lbs, but my personal goal at 142-145 (we'll see when we get there!)...The materials say that to get Lifetime, I have to weigh in at no more than 2 lbs above OR BELOW my WW goal weight. So if I hit 150 and continue to lose, will I not be eligible for Lifetime? Please, please clue me in because I want to get to Lifetime ASAP!!

Thanks and love,
Elaine

I set my lifetime weight with WW at the very top of my weight range so that I didn't have to continue to pay. In your case, 155 lb. You can drop below that as long as you don't go more than 5 lbs below the lowest (124). Don't quote my on the last sentence, but I think it is 5 lbs. As long as you stay somewhere within your weight range, 124-155, you won't have to pay. After maintaining your lifetime weight, say 155, for 6 weeks you become a lifetimer. You can go as high as 157 without having to pay. I hope this makes some sort of since. It is nice to have that large of a range to kind of play with. You definitely want to give your self more than the 2 lb break. I would say at least 5 lbs. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!

The "2 pounds below goal" is a new rule they started with the Momentum program, so I'm not sure how they will do that...

I have not heard about the 2 pounds below goal. If anyone knows or gets more information, please pass along.

Yes, I thought that the "2 pounds below rule" was new, because I certainly did not remember it from last time and I know that a lot of people have different WW and personal goals...any more clarification would help! I don't get to have a meeting until next Thursday and I will be sure to ask my leader for more information at that point!

Just a follow up. Today my leader was explaining lifetime to someone else and she didn't mention anything about the new 2 lb rule. She just said that it was best to set your goal high and go below that to give yourself a little leeway (sp ?). I was going to ask her in more detail but I had to leave the meeting in a hurry. I don't see how they can change it to that. I will let you know if I find out anything different.
