Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

My days are so so long. I'm a teacher at a brand new charter school, have responsibilities beyond the teaching, the kids can be really hard kids, and I don't have a minute to myself all day. I see a trainer twice a week and tonight was our date at 9:00 (I go after my own kids are in bed), and, well, that makes for a long day!

However, the super bad mood I was in before going to workout is now pretty much gone - that is my FAVORITE thing about working out. The way you feel when it's over! And, I feel like I had a great eating day and stayed within my points range (29). I try to stick to Core foods as much as possible, but still count points quite simply for portion control and the mere fact I'm not so hip being limited (even though Core really isn't that limiting!) Anyway, here's my eating for the day :)

Breakfast:
Special K with skim milk (4)

Snacks:
Sugar snap peas (0.5)
Banana (2)

Lunch:
Leftover Beef Barley soup - so yummy I should post the recipe! (6)

Dinner:
Brown Rice with pineapple and green onions, stir-fried pork with pineapple, green onion, red pepper, soy, garlic, and pineapple juice - another recipe I should really post! (12.5 - including the leftovers I ate after the gym)
Skinny Cow (2)

Exercise:
25 minute workout on treadmill (-2)
30 minutes of bicep work (-2)

Total 27/29 points
- 4 Activity :)

Hmmmmm I really need to work with one of Roni's table makers....

Good for you for getting back out the door in the evenings to meet with the personal trainer. There's just something different and more motivating when you have a personal trainer waiting for you. Oh..I guess it could be the fact that your paying for them too. lol. I'm planning to start eating more core, but still counting points because as you put it...I need that accountability for my portions. And I totally agree...nothing puts me in a better mood than a great workout. Just wish I could feel that way before the workout so it wasn't so hard to get myself there!!!
