Get this: This morning I popped in the "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD I bought Wednesday ... and during the toning segments, I got a little woozy. Every time. It didn't just happen once. It happened a few moves into each segment. I had to sit down and watch everyone else work out.
But I was fine during the walking parts, even when we were walking briskly. What's up with that?
I'm wondering if it happened because I got up and started the workout before eating anything. That happened to me once or twice when I was working with my personal trainer. I'd be lifting weights and suddenly get dizzy.
I didn't eat anything because I'd overslept: It was after 10 when I got up and I wanted to get right to working out. I figured I'd have lunch after. (I still haven't eaten more than just a clementine, because I'm still feeling a little queasy, but that's another story.)
The good news? Before I let myself get online to tell y'all about my somewhat successful workout, I wrote a couple more pages in my story. Woo-hoo!
I'd better get going now. I have to get ready to go to work — and soon. Well, at least I got done what I wanted to get done before I went. I'm thinking about running to Jack in the Box before work to try the new Teriyaki bowl they've been advertising. Not low in carbs, I'm sure, but I haven't eaten anything else to speak of today, carby or not. But before I go, I'm going to check its nutritional profile on the restaurant Web site.
Note to self: Eat at least something before you try to work out.

I'm back: Don't bother with the Jack in the Box Teryaki Bowls. I just looked them up: The chicken one is 11 WWP; the steak is 13. Guess if I want a bowl of veggies, rice and meat, I'm off to the Flame Broiler instead.
