Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Today was my 10th week since making the big life change and I was down 1.8lbs since last week making a total of 23lbs. Which I am happy with as it is a 2.3lb week average so far and it is all I am asking for. I am doing really well with the whole eating and exercising thing so far, can't think of the last time I have had any sweets and to be honest I don't even really want any so that makes it easy. The biggest demon I have is I work out in the morning and I am by no stretch of the imagination a morning person, so every morning I spend a few minutes after the alarm goes off telling myself that I could sleep in for another hour and a half or I can get up and exercise, and so far the exercise is winning out. The thing I really find is on the days I let the demons win I end up feeling horrible and hungry all day; however, when I do exercise I feel great and hardly ever hungry so that is what I tell myself to get out of bed instead of hitting the alarm.

I just made a quinoa and Moroccan chicken dish for dinner, it is super healthy but I wasn't over keen on it, I will have to come up with something else to do with the other two chicken breast, there is a nice cajun chicken with baby potatoes and tzatziki sauce that I like to make so maybe I make that tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well with their weight loss.

Erin

I have never been a morning person, just ask my parents :) but to be honest I don't mind working out in the morning so much any more (I go to bed an hour early so I'm not losing any sleep) I've tried soooo many times to workout after work but I would waste away the day making excuses not to do it (too tired, ate too much at lunch so will be sick, have to go shopping, going to meet friends etc etc, the list was always a mile long) The only second thought I ever has is just after the alarm goes off I think of resetting it for an hour later, but then I think to myself how bad I will feel all day if I don't so I get myself out of bed and do it and always feel much better than the days that I miss my workouts.

Is there any possible way you could work out later in the day? After work? Mid-day? I hate the idea of you hating the morning so much. Congrats on all your losses so far by the way!!! And you are VERY smart to do this before the baby! I was 225 when I got pregnant and got high blood pressure b/c of it. You don't want to have to go through a required inducement if you don't have to, as I did.
Good luck with continued losses and with perhaps becoming a morning person! Are you going to bed really early yet, b/c that helps to change you. I had to do that.

That's an awesome weight loss, congratulations on that! It sounds like you're creating good habits that are sticking. That whole thing about exercise shutting the appetite down? LOVE THAT! It does make it worthwhile to get out of bed for. You're doing great!
