The husband decided to reward me for toughing out finals and sent me to get the full treatment at a spa: massage, manicure, pedicure and facial! It was amazing and relaxing and wonderful. I've never had a professional massage before, so that was a real treat for me. I feel great.
Only one downside: I was at the spa all day and the husband forgot to schedule me a lunch break! So I went for several hours on nothing but herbal tea and water with lemon. The aesthetist felt bad for me and found me a granola bar and an apple to eat during my pedicure. Today was supposed to be day one of Phase I, but I decided to accept them anyway. I ate a snack when I got home and ate extra large portion at dinner, so i'm now feeling more like myself. Other than the snacks at the spa, my day was totally on plan.
Another small victory: I finally dragged myself back to the gym! I only went for about half an hour, but I could really feel inertia starting to set in, and it felt so good to break through that. I hate dragging myself to the gym, but as long as I don't overexert myself, I actually do like exercise, and I love how I feel afterward. It's just a matter of setting aside the time, making myself put on my gym clothes and dragging myself there. Hopefully the husband will go with me again sometime this week.
