What do you love about yourself?
Since I am feeling like a log today I thought it might make me feel better to force myself to try to name some things about myself that I like. Here goes. I'll let you know at the end if it helped...
1. I like my neck. I have one now. I used to have what I called a stump. Now it's a neck...and it looks like a neck...cool!
2. I like my eyes. They are very green. One of the things that I get compliments on...
3. I am a good cook. I love to experiment in the kitchen and come up with new recipes!
4. I can draw. Not stick figures, real stuff...people, still life, abstract, etc...I used to be the art class geek at my high school...four periods of art per day...it was fun!
5. I am almost out of 20's in my bottoms! I have some jeans that are size 20, and they are all too big finally! I am not quite ready to shop...just waiting for them to be a bit looser!
6. I know how to crochet. It's something I taught myself, and I've made many cool afghans for family ad friend over the years, and for my daughter when she was a baby! I even taught grade school students (including 1 boy!) how to crochet when I worked in children's services at our local community center!
7. I am well liked by my daughter's friends. Many of them call me Mom, or Momma D...it's cool, not usre my daughter thinks so though?!
8. I can do all of my cardio on the eliptical at the gym! Used to be I wouldn't get near it, I was afraid to try it - but we lost power one night at the gym and the only machines that worked were the bikes and the elipticals. So since I really hate when my butt falls asleep on the bike, I tried an eliptical, thinking that once the power was back on I would get back on the treadmill. Well, the power didn't come back on early enough to bother. I ended up doing most of the workout on it so I just finished it there too. Now I do it all the time!! I love it!
ok, so it helped a little...I just need to come back and re-read it when I am feeling low....or think of more!!
