Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Do you ever have days where you just amaze yourself? I had one today and it wasn't all that big of a deal but when I look back on it now, I think...huh you really CAN do this! My hubby and I had a rare day off together and chose to spend it with his mother. Now typically when we visit, we usually take her out to lunch or bring lunch in to her and it is just about as bad as you can get. I'm talking good old home cooking type food that is usually swimming in butter, cheese or some unhealthy concoction of ingredients.
To be honest, I have been pretty concerned about today because I have been doing so well, staying on track with ZERO problems. I'm right where I want and need to be and the last thing I need are unnecessary temptations. Well, right at the last second as we were leaving the house something just came over me and I decided to bring my own lunch. Yep, that's right. We drove over an hour to have lunch with my MIL and I brown bagged it! At first the hubby was looking at me like I was crazy and then a few seconds later he realized exactly what I was doing and said "good for you honey!"
I feel like I have made it over a huge hurdle that I have been fretting about for days and I got through it still on plan!
I just want to say this to everyone that is reading and especially to Roni who is the person that has worked tirelessly to give us this site. Each and everyone of you are my inspiration and I am so thankful that this community exists so I can accept that I am not in this alone. We're all in this together!

Good for you! And I agree - I'm thankful for having this community and for Roni's sites. Whether people have good days or bad days, I find it inspirational to read everyone's blog. With people's bad days, I feel better that I'm not the only one who has those moments, and with people's good days, it really reminds me that weight loss, eating healthy, exercising, and positive thinking are all possible!

That's awesome Cyndy! I know exactly how you feel... I blogged recently about "the mystery of willpower". Why is it that sometimes we are so "on plan" and everything seems easier. I love when it all clicks and we make the right choices... KUDO's to you for having a great day with your hubby, MIL and staying on track!

Wow. I don't think I'd have had that kind of willpower. I'll try to remember your success, though, and emulate it the next time I'm supposed to go out for dinner.
